It's a mystery to me why we make poor teams look good. We'll bank the win i'm sure but we should be better than this.

Weve been doing it for 10 years +

Love JV but I swear he hardly ever looks up when he kicks. The head is always down. Tough to hit targets when you’re not lifting your eyes.

You can also put your house on him getting caught holding the ball at least once a game. Usually more. Awareness is shizen.

That said I’m happy he’s getting his hands on the pill. His second half will be better.

Awful quarter, so many players not contributing and seriously our goal kicking is dreadful.

Relax guys. 50 point win coming up. The young hawks will quickly run out of steam.

we play crap teams Poorly. Luckily not many of them left

Only in respect to pressure. Their skill game is horrible, we’re just letting them scrap it away from contests. And as usual, we’ve given them a healthy sniff. We just hate to dominate….

Disappointing.

It’s rare that we give up chains of goals, but we did.

We need to make a statement in the 3rd quarter.

3rd AND 4th please … right up to the final siren.

Great defensive, backs to the wall stuff by us in that last 20 minutes, I thought there, except we are on top, we aren’t playing the Bulldogs, we are playing the likely wooden spooners FFS! WTF was that about?

wake the [censored] up melbourne! kick it to dangerous spots in the fwd line. and Viney, stop being [censored]!

Win by 50 or don't count it as a win. f$%^ing hopeless melbourne.

Lucky we bring it against the top teams hey?

And why just them?

Ill be glad if we can get through the season ahead of this latest Covid shizen....

I’m a Viney fan, but FMD his disposal has been shocking. Two entries into forward 50 straight at a hawks player.

Well here is an idea for lazy Melbourne forwards when Viney has it, get in front, you know it will fall short.

players getting ahead of themselves and not respecting the opposition and just how quickly teams can score. very typical melbourne.

I think this performance is rather typical.

Sorry to say this but Viney is a krap kick, and slow as a snail.

I thought so too. Boys get real.

Cocky

And smashed at clearances.

What is up with us? Freo mauled these guys last week. FREO!

We'll win this, but geez these BS halves give every other team in the comp a look into how to beat us, and until we stamp our authority in these games, teams will always turn up knowing they're a chance against us!

Exactly, our forwards were playing behind too often have to at least make a contest for our smalls

The missus emptied the swear jar at half time in readiness for a refill in the second half!

Lol Viney tagging Mitchell to 20 touches at half time. FMD.
Time to get serious. You either want to stamp your authority on this competition or you want to continue to be untrustworthy.

Viney is a liability.

Midfield mix was well balanced when he was not playing and Harmes was the tagged.

To think we have 5 years of Viney rubbish..

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
