Mistake not having one of Brown or Weids in tonight. They are killing us in the air down back.

Yes Mitch Brown would be handy.

Dominant for little reward. Need runners coming into the forward line for short hit ups if they are going to continue flooding back.

Fritsch just wants the easy ball over the back or on a lead, doesn't like winning it himself.

We are running past the ball looking for easy touch

Gawn absolutely pasting the defenders after that Stringer goal. Gave them a spray.

Nothing to kick to

Forward targets nowhere

kicked to a 3v1 just now and missed a target completely earlier. He's out of form.

That said our forward set-up not working first quarter

Viney would take a better defender as well

Lets face it.
Delivery into the forward line has been garbage for years.
Lowered the eyes early this year but have reverted back to kicking and hoping.

should have played one of the browns, that way it would have taken some of the pressure of fritch having one of the best backs on him

our forwards need to defend more when essendon has the ball and running out of our defense

Putting Gawn forward and bomb it in is a better chance of scoring than the current set up.

Too much room in the zone down back.  When the game's on early we should be placing max pressure on them in our 50.  Instead we're allowing them to pick their way out from the goals at will with ease.

It rarely works against teams who base their game around skills/run off HB and i don't expect it will work tonight either.

Another loss looming if Goody &  Co stick with that strat in this 2nd quarter.  They'll be up by 5 or 6 goals at half time if we do.

Bombers playing counter attack footy.

Make the most of our opportunities and we'll OK.

Get absolutely [censored] Melbourne. Stringer on his own.
We are a mess.

That’s a point

Getting torched when they go forward. Their midfield are much better kicks

Operation compact the ladder in full effect.

How the [censored] can you tell with 3 frames a minute?

Goal review is a farce.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
