Ollie fan 3,672 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 That is a big out! Very hard player to replace, and in terrific form... 4 Quote
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Massive out and leaves our forward line looking a lot less dangerous for scoring power. Petracca might need to play predominantly forward the next few weeks. 1 Quote
Dr. Gonzo 24,468 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Fritsch and May out will test how far we've actually come. Time for Melksham to step up to the plate. 8 Quote
Mel Bourne 4,541 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Drag. Who comes in for him? Mitch Brown? 3 Quote
WA Demon Boy 966 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I'd like to see Tracc spend more time up fwd. Melk + LJ need to start hitting the scoreboard too 2 Quote

Nelo 813 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Pain in the rear end. This suddenly turns into a danger game. 1 Quote
Pickett2Jackson 3,904 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 And Fritsch was about to go to the next level and end up kicking 60, whats the bet this hand issue lingers all seasons. We are [censored] cursed! [censored] 1 Quote
FarNorthernD 5,863 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 If a fractured hand means finger, sure that may mean only two weeks, but to fracture an actual bone in your hand you would think that would be longer? 2 Quote
chookrat 4,268 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Fear not brothers, this is good news. Time for Mitch Brown to kick 23 goals v Hawthorn and win by 187 points. 3 4 Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,552 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Hopefully he'll be back for Richmond. 3 Quote
deelusions from afar 1,894 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Mitch Brown or Majak surely - I don't think TMac and Jacko can carry the forward line (unless they planned to give Jacko more time in the ruck and Gawn more time forward) 2 Quote

Mr Steve 3,820 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 At least it will keep the rest of the teams minds on the game. Quote
Lord Nev 13,512 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 (edited) Bit surprised people are suggesting players like Mitch Brown and Daw. IMO Fritsch is a more rangey type, good on the wide leads and flexible enough to kick a few opportunistic goals. I wouldn't be replacing him with a big lumbering forward. Put Melksham into Fritsch's role. He's better as a finisher anyway, doesn't do enough higher up the ground. Edited April 15, 2021 by Lord Nev 18 Quote

Indeed, Melksham will have to step up (and it’s a big step) to fill the more nimble-forward role. But who steps in for Melksham to play the...whatever role he played last week. 1 Quote

I'd probably just keep Sparrow in, rather than as sub. He's better at the grunt and pressure up the ground than Melksham. I reckon Melksham's best shot is as a leading forward/half forward type rather than a mid now. Petty comes in for May, probably Hibberd as sub. 5 Quote
deanox 10,070 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I'd consider Petty forward and Hibberd back for May. We'd still have the flexibility to throw Petty back if we need the extra height. Petty won't play there long, but I'm expecting Brown back for the tiges. 5 Quote
