Gotta feel for Port after the year they've had.

Richmond in 2017 was good I guess but FMD hearing Cotchin talk about how he and his wife think the Tigers group is so special is getting really [censored] tiring.

Yep.. When you watch sides like tonight play you wonder whether we will ever have what it takes to win a flag..

God, if Geelong win too, I hope Dictator Dan lets us out to play golf next Saturday.

Gee I loathe Richmond.  All the sooking and free kicks and the dirty play.  I guess they have earned the right to be smug, but they are a detestable bunch.

port might have done better if they played the match in dry brissy

home ground turned into a disadvantage?

What a hideous result

Richmond no injuries....

Hopefully they're gassed after that slog. Cotchin should be fresh as he did bugger all.

Maybe they could suspend Reiwoldt for staging a head knock late in the 3rd? One can only dream.

Here's hoping the Lions get an easy run tomorrow.

Compare Richmond list quality and ours and it is embarrassing. Also embarrassing how in Cairns when we played in a monsoon we continually tried to handball the ball and kick backwards, tonight both teams had the right idea,  move the ball forward at all costs

The gesticulating by every player within 50m of the ball appealing deliberate out of bounds is what gets me

What a choke by Port. Were good in the first half but no one stood up in the second, aside from Ebert with that amazing spoil.

Only 3 players different for tigers from last years grand final. Always seem to come together at the right time.

Only 1 apparently? Balta

I knew I should have changed my tip when I saw the weather forecast.

Jack Riewoldt stages for free kicks every time

embarrassing

Must have been watching a different game to me. A winning score with 46 points doesn’t exactly make them unbeatable.

You get a consistent team on the park, and then your best team at the right time of year, and you make sure during the regular season you win 3 of the 5 games you play every year that could go either way. We aren’t that far off it, we just need to do it more consistently.

Worst possible result tonight. Richmond are just a horribly unlikeable group of tossers, lead by that whinging coach who personally attacks people.

I’ll be supporting whoever they are playing against next weekend.

What’s more frustrating is my bro didn’t mention rich prior to 2017 & never buys memberships & yet hadn’t stopped talking & bought premiership celebration packs saying it’s the same as buying memberships ..

Richmond remind me of Brisbane during their threepete - they always seemed to get more than their fair share of 50/50 balls. Maybe just a higher proportion of footy iq in the team or sheer [censored], who knows.

Wouldnt mind that Bolton kid in our team.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
