FFS here we go, just what we need. We’re gonna get crucified compared to the Richmond [censored]-grabbers. Unbelievable.

I opened this thread and realised I was in the wrong forum....sorry.

Besides it was consensual touching. Trac guides Hunt’s fingers to the promised land. Nothing to see here. Amicable contest.

The big difference is that Petracca was in on the joke, if people are going to give the Hockeyroos girls a pass on theirs then nothing to see here. Bit of fun between mates.

”Former Hockeyroos star Georgie Parker has responded to the groping furore surrounding the AFL and a 2017 photo of her grabbing a teammate.

Parker, who previously took aim at the condemnation of AFL players who touch each other inside dressing rooms, has taken to Twitter to share proof her own teammate grab was all above board.

The 31-year-old was prompted to share the evidence after a Twitter follower asked if her Hockeyroos teammate Kathryn Slattery was “ok” with her groping her backside during the Australian national anthem”

Weirdos all of them.   And yes that includes Hunt and Petracca.   Come out of the closet already fellas.

Proves the theory that majority of AFL players are dumb meat heads. You'd think after the Richmond debacle they all would have learnt a lesson..

How wrong was I..

I personally wouldn’t be doing anything like that but if they are both in on it then seriously this sort of stuff must happen all the time.

What the Richmond mob did clearly had an uncomfortable participant.

BBOs opionion on the matter would be valuable for once.

Not many people get expelled from thier extended family Christmas.

Training must be like a Feeling Frenzy! Ridiculous and immature...

Try doing that to Barry Hall! ? He would wipe out the whole side... ????????

I have been saying it for years dd just because you can play football does not make you a rocket scientist.

How crass and insensitive of you to bring that up Biffin!

It was all just a misunderstanding ....................... more or less.

I didn’t know what to expect when I saw the title of this thread!

I don’t get the groping or the finger up the [censored] thing amongst teammates. If a bloke tried that in my time he would have been decked. 2 consenting adults in the privacy of their homes well that’s their business.

Having said that its obvious the boys were in on the joke so what does it matter other than just don’t get caught on camera. The blood suckers in the press are always looking for a beat-up so don’t give them the opportunity.

Trac was just trying to pick up an extra vote in the brown-low.

I’ll see myself out.

Double standards, there is more sexual harassment from lesbians than men.

absolutely DD36

I can imagine the club officials and the coach raising the behavior issues with the players and the Tigers players stupidity would have been highlighted.  It’s inappropriate but more so it’s just stupidity.

My main issue here is the skylarking during the coaches address at 3/4 time before our most important quarter of the season.

Sure we had a healthy lead and looked like we were going to cruise to victory but we have this habit of going to sleep and not being switched on and then we concede multiple goals.

Now I’m beginning to see why.

This issue of not being switched on needs to be addressed in 2021.

Sadly it could be as simple as a lack of respect for the coach and teammates and it’s massive problem if it’s widespread.

This.

The only response should have been "we are disappointed the players were not fully focused on Goodwin, but have no concerns with the actions as they are fully consensual, unlike other incidents which have been highlighted."

It's really important that this is differentiated, because this apllies to non-football situations too. The problem is not touching. It is the lack of consent. As a society we really struggle with understanding this difference.

Clearly, it's no big deal, but it gives ammunition to the professionally aggrieved.  They'll love it and use their soapbox.

Exactly.

Nothing to see here with this.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

  • PREGAME: Richmond

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
