Looks like Jaidyn Stephenson is about as popular as me on here.

Well Doc, it can only get worse.

If the Ben Brown deal falls over, Jaidyn Stephenson will smell like a rose and appear a Nobel Laureate compared to you. FMD even Tom $cully will be further up the pecking order.

Have a good day !

Serious question, what's wrong with Buckley and Collingwood?

They broke up a premiership team because of a so called bad attitude and are now being sued by one of those players.

They don't seem to be able to deal with any player who may have an issue, easier to trade them out.

How would they have been with Dustin Martin?

Would he be the player he is now if he had been drafted at Collingwood?

Time to have a look in the mirror I would think.

Break ups are always hard. When bucks goes Eddie will follow like the little lost puppy he is and no doubt will continue to follow bucks around.

IMO their relationship clouds Eddie spaghettis judgment big time.

Who?

Lol you guys would prefer a well educated, spotless behaviour private school boy like Watts over someone with a checkered history with far more talent.

What would Stephenson be worth before this season? a pick in the top 5? he has had an elite season under his belt. And woul love to have him. He has elite traits and shown that he can produce over a full season.

I get the feeling that, if most here WERE keen on getting him, you would take the opposite view point and pot everyone for wanting someone with attitude issues.

Sorry about that Red !
However, I believe it is permissible, under certain circumstances, to mention the unmentionable on some threads.

Nonetheless, I shall undertake a penance and give the maid a jolly good thrashing.

No exceptions here. Thrash thine self as penance.

Glad you brought up Watts as a comparable, they are/we’re both unprofessional and seem to lack the dedication to the craft to get the best out of themselves. Not sure anyone cares where they went to school lols.

I wouldn't mind Jaidyn Stephenson for Tom McDonald perhaps?

Is Jaidyn a good kick? Does he have pace? Will a change of environment do him good? Could he fill a forward and midfielder role?

Question: Is Brown & Stephenson a better combo than Brown & Weiderman?

Weiderman seems an obvious trade to the Filth.....

Embarrassing spelling too ... it's Weideman.  And no to the flaky Stephenson and no to trading Weed.

Brown & Stephenson vs Brown & Melksham/Fritsch is much closer and on potential would be favourable.

Sigh....?‍♂️... and from a teacher.

Stephenson is a gun. Weed was p**s-poor in the last three games and shows signs of being far too nice for AFL. Stephenson's bad attitude leads me to think there might be a bit of c*$! in him. Do we need a bit of c*$!?

Traded to North as the first pawn in Collingwood’s fire sale.

I expect it will get done but the big sale item is still there.

Looks like he dragged a few skeletons out of the Collingwood closest on his way out. Sounds like a few of their players were not treated to well this trade period.

Buckley again not covering himself in glory in regards to player management. His reputation is taking a hit as a result of poor salary cap management. If I was him I’d be pretty annoyed at other parts of his footy club. So many resources, and still in such a terrible situation.

Gave collingwood a little clip on the way out. Wonder how some of their remaining players are feeling watching how their now former teammates are being treated.

@Nascent - could give a bit of a synopsis from JS and his clip that those of us that don’t want to trawl through the web could understand

About to head out but here's a link from the AFL website article derived from his interview on trade radio.

I didn't think he had to much between his ears. I remember a few weeks ago he tried to give out covid advice which was just ridiculous.

But I can just imagine David Noble when he got the phone call saying Jaidyn has broken his hip because he had a few to many drinks and decided to do a trick on his mountain bike.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
