Not going to win with a team of OMac, Tomlinson, Smith, Jones, Brown, Fritsch

Yeah we’re in massive trouble. Gawn literally stood and watched a player run past him then.

And people think he is a leader.

Viney at least seems to give a [censored]. What is a Max doing to change the game? SFA. He is a faux captain.

Goody should use the second half to write a resume.

Our season might over in a hour or so, and so should be his coaching career if this continues.

Gonna need a Lazarus-like comback to win this from here.

44 plays 16 and we dont look like it. Against the 16th placed team.

Un-[censored]-forgivable

Honestly, what can you say. Looking forward to all the lessons learned after this one.

There goes our percentage too.

Who cares....

this is one of the most disgusting performances these players have served up. Worse than Port Adelaide debacle. We would be even more embarrassed in a final

I [censored] hate this football club

Gobsmacked by this.....nothing like the team that played on the weekend? Short break and 7am flight doesnt help. We dont have a coach who can arrest this tho....

Smith Macdonald Tomlinson say no more and people rate this team. Delusional

add Jones & Wagner to that.

And the other 17 out there today

Yuck.

This is why teams need to be all go from the first bounce. Give a side a sniff and they will take it, regardless of where they sit on the ladder. Just [censored] lazy football.

I love it that we come out and repeatedly said that the short breaks are no big deal and that we are prepared for it.

Well... Based on the evidence we are the worst prepared club at dealing with them.

What a disgraceful first half, let alone 2nd qtr.

No moves from the coaches box.

How OMac retained his spot was ridiculous

Jones is finished

Hope we don’t make finals. We’ll be humiliated. Plus it’ll ensure Goodwin gets another year. I don’t want that, thank you.

I'm from WA - once they introduce a third club in WA I'm out of here

And yet people want to keep supporting the witches hat in the box.

He has lost me now completely. Didn’t come to play, whose fault. Poor selection again, whose fault. Bennell can’t get in this side because we are just so good. No skill, no pace, no heart. Pathetic.

HAHAHA ???

The Fritsch handball.

The Petracca kick.

The Smith handball.

The unaccountability.

Is this team for real?  This is so embarrassing to watch.

There's only one team in the AFL that can build you up and let you down so religiously.  Don't even bother with finals pls.  We'll be embarrassed....again.

Wow.  Putrid/. No skills, no effort, no tackles, no nuthin!  If we dont change something at half time, this is looking like the Port game

The Simon Goodwin era has to end, if he can't instill a ruthless attitude to this team that allows them to back up week after week, time to find someone who can.

his selections have cost us at least 4 games this year, this effort is not AFL standard. Casey would be more competitive than this.

Season over, time for heads to roll, full external review. i've been off Goodwin for a while now, but this is beyond a joke.

we're only every going to be mediocre under Simon Goodwin

Jones. You aren’t not making the decision an easy one

he is making it an easy one. HE IS DONE!

I rarely venture onto the GAMEDAY threads during the live action but how can I not with that [censored] [censored]?

Nathan Jones, go have a shower son. You’re done. Forever. Oscar McDonald, you are a joke.

Finals gone on the back of being towelled up by 16th placed side and Justin McInerny, FFS you can’t write this [censored]. Wait we can. 2016 and Dylan Buckley. My goodness. What a club.

Goody should hand in his resignation and not come out after half time.

He can take the likes of Smith, OMAC, TMAC, Harmes and Jones with him.

OKAY, I'VE TRIED TO BE NICE BUT THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO STRONG TACKLING, DROPPING MARKS ETC ETC, NO DESIRE.

PLAYING SMITH HAS DISRUPTED THE BACKLINE. THE EXPERIMENT IS OVER. IF THE PLAYER IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH THEY DON'T PLAY. NO MORE CHARITY PICKS.

OUTSMARTED BY A SMART SIDE. SYDNEY ARE SMART AND WANT TO WIN NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE ON THE LADDER.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
