We are BACK

That felt like a 100 point win.

We have so much absurd talent in the under 24 bracket, it will be a crime if we dont win a flag in the next 5 years

Relocate to Adelaide!!!!!

Any win against North is a good one, even when they (Norf) dont really want to win.

Bank it and pump the Eddies next week.

We are still in the season.

Some really good signs in the game.ย  Including control the tempo of the ball movement, looks so much better, albeit against a weak side.

What is good to see is pushing on a beating sides by big margins and not letting them backย in.ย  In the past we would have let in late goals.ย  Not so anymore.

Good win tonight, did what we needed to in Adelaide ...ย

Next two weeks are massive, a depleted pies and a inconsistent dogs side. Two wins there and we will be in a real position to launch in the back end of the season.ย

ย

good gameย

ย

handy % increase, LJ showed a lot as did Kozzi, Tracc building to be a star (not it just yet), love seeing Oliver continuing to burst away and Weed finding formย

ย

Mick Malthouse said today that we have another 'wasted season' on our hands.

Stick that where the sun don't shine, Mick.ย ย

Took us a quarter to settle, and to kick straight, but we smashed them off the park.ย  Disposal count etc doesn't interest me, as we controlled the game easily tonight.ย  We moved it better, we worked harder and we made it count.

The inclusions all had a positive impact tonight, starting with Spargo.ย  Pickett was great, Tom did his job and Rivers showed some good signs down back.

On that, our back line was sublime once again.ย  Larkey kicked a few but no one else really looked like getting near it.

Our season is well and truly alive at 5-5 and a healthy percentage to boot.

Bring on the filth on Saturday for the real test!

Into 9th baby!!

Good to see a bit of 'killer instinct' in that last quarter.

Those umpires shd never ever umpire again

Well, we did the job in fine style.

Petracca Really owned the title bull. Showed terriffic breakaway strength.

Jackson - last week was no fluke

Kossi - Jeez this kid will an Eddie Betts!!!

PS Silly me. Thoyght last weeks umpiring was [censored]

PPS. Has the over the shoulder too high rule been removed?

PPPS I'll let @picket fenceย comment on Spargos" game.

Go dees

BTW I made some good money on the punt today

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
