Like to hear from all of the Goodwin supporters today.

He is finished. No vision, no passion, zero intensity, can't get players to do basic things like stand on a goal line or hit a target.

I'm sick of him. was gifted a coaching role with zero experience and has had one year where we fluked a couple of finals. Big f******g deal.

Sad thing is we as supporters, know exactly how this will play out, We have seen it all  before. We throw away leads, we let teams get a sniff, we don't pick up players but guard grass - is there anything more infuriating seeing a team chip chip chip the ball around and our lazy hacks just amble around without a care in the world.

Goodwin is killing the support for this club and one day it won't be around. And hardly anyone will notice. or care.

We are a talented team but a dumb team. Perhaps that's a reflection of our coaching?

It's not all bad though. Brayshaw, Lever, Viney and Hibberd were pretty decent.

Kozzie will be better for the experience. Hannan better for the run. Lockhart started well but made bad errors as he got tired.

Smith played OK

The concerns are the form of Fritsch, Salem and vanders. Rivers had one he'd rather forget.

Hard to read the garbage! We were in the game throughout. We gave ourselves a chance to win. We were the equal of the Cats, wherever they are ranked. It was a line ball in the final minute. Posters who are keyboard assassins need to take a breath before they post the bile. WE have a very competitive group right here, and the more games they play together the better they will be. Think about how long Ablett, Selwood, Hawkins and Danger have been playing. We are tracking in the right direction. I hate the venom, the knee-jerking and the abuse that the 'supporters' show here. Grow some, and watch the game for what it is worth... a dour struggle that was oh so close!

PS: The absolute morons that keep calling for the coach to be sacked... and have been doing so since Norm Smith... YOU ARE WEAK AS...!!!

We looked like a team who had played little. We defended well other than the two brain fades that cost us goals. We need to learn how to turn teams that play the short kick with us which takes away contests. Forward line needs 2 talls and less mid sized forwards. This MFC brand of football which should be recognisable is still not clear to me. As long as we build off it its not the disgrace people are stating but we need to fix the challenges and not stubbornly ignore them.

We played poorly.  Geelong just sweated on our mistakes, which we continuously made for them.  Even still, we had a kick to win it!  Some things to like, but our system especially forward was terrible.

Sorry if u think there is anything positive in that game your kidding yourself. Playing a team who hasn’t had a top draft pick in 20 years. 3 goals in 3 quarters pathetic. We are a huge chance for wooden spoon

We have no forward line.

Goodwin I have just about had enough. Time to maybe fall on your sword.

Love reading these post-game forums after a close loss, the demonlanders never fail to disappoint. :)

yeah it stings but there was a lot to like.

Tmac showed glimpses, kossi looks really dangerous, backline largely performed well, Maxy went off yet again, joel smith wasn't completely putrid, tomlinson was good, harmes and viney battled away all day. clarry and gus were magnets.

put it in perspective, we're watching our favourite team play live at the G. its not like the boys or goody want to lose, we'll be back.

gotta keep the glass half full, onto next week. up the demons!

Scoreboard flattered us & Goodwin needs to be held accountable for the continued slide with a game plan that isn’t working, the drafting of 2 wingers & the huge investment on 2 defenders & we cop 3-4 soft goals! We’re is the leadership from May & Lever to defend the goal line??? Were is the game plan for the ball movement for our 2 wingers we drafted??

Jobe Watson summed it up perfectly:

'One team came in with a plan and that was the difference today'

Sort of, we still easily win if someone man's up Mitch Duncan in the first quarter, Max Gawn doesn't go to water and touches the ball on the goal line in the second quarter, someone stops the handball to Dangerfield in the third quarter. Was pathetic awareness from the whole team on multiple occasions.

I don’t know how many times I yelled out “that’s not 15” for all the 8m kicks by the cats, but I’m still apologising to my dog who thinks I’ve got mental health issues.

No offence or defence. Salem walking that 50 up was a disgrace.

Especially when we had two players out the back.... Couldn't believe what I was seeing, he sprints and pumps that in side 50 we have the Geelong defenders scrambling back. Would have been a mark in the goal square or front on contact free

Lack of a second tall target in the forward line killed us.

Lack of any reliable target always kills us.

I'm calling for the coach to be sacked. More often than not he's outcoached and we're perpetually on the back foot. And this is an opinion forum last time I looked.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
