I've donated in the past but can't afford more than a few dollars now due to job losses in the family. I hope others in more fortunate positions can help the club out.

Just donated, I would normally spent more than this going to games in a season.

Add I am hopelessly rusted on to the MFC.
Can we please win some games or disband.

One of the two please!

So many things that we have taken for granted are now in doubt. In some cases, finished for good.

Along with so many other worthy institutions and businesses, the MFC is in great peril.

Desperate times.

There's a pre-draft briefing experience with Mahoney and Taylor available that you'd think would be pretty tempting for a lot of fans.

I'd prefer the post-draft experience where I get to berate them for their decisions with the benefit of hindsight.

unlikely unless we trade in some picks

Have followed your lead OD......Donated..... and so rusted on we can't move.!

A "Proud to Belong Guernsey" with Nev Jetta's number on it will some day be mine. A great idea from the club -- mementos are good.

I'm going to buy the guernsey.

A few weeks back i got a skinfull and sent an email to the club offering to make a donation. Never got a reply. This just [censored] me off, especially when i was sober. The club had a an offer of extra money and they didnt follow up. Unforgivable really. Since then i have received bills for

A : Car insurance      $650

B : Rego                      $716

C : Car repairs            $1500 (Thermostat housing and a couple of other smaller jobs. Its a 120,000 klm car ok)

D : Set of Tyres           $720

Im a part time Nurse who, while one of the lucky ones to still have a secure job, isnt on a huge quid.  ( I feel for the poor ba5tards who are out of work, or constantly worrying if their job will be there next week)

The club should have struck while the iron was hot, and i still had whiskey left.

I would love to get one of the jumpers, i really would. Maybe i could use the retention bonus that Aged care workers are supposed to get over the next few months.

Come on Demonlanders, convince me to spend the dough. Should i just say "What the hell" and spend the $250 even though im a tight-[censored] who still cant trust the Club perform like it should after so many rebuilds?

Maybe i should just say "if we win the next 2 games i will buy one" or some [censored] like that.

Come at me.

Member since 1998 just after the failed merger... yet our club has gone around in circles for 2 decades not getting their house in order to meet the current challenges. We have seen debt demolition in the late 00s, the debt that PJ inherited and yet another 1.5 mill loss last year. Before I get shot down yes I will donate but it ever so frustrating seeing Hawthorn who built a war chest prior to their flag in 08 and continued to do so!

Fulfilling 4 family memberships on top of my MCC membership given my wife has lost her job, is more than enough as far as I’m concerned.

Hope they get a strong response however, from those that can afford it.

Just sponsored a player so I have done my bit

Out of interest what does that cost?

I just purchased a jumper, doing my garage up into a man cave and the jumper will look great In there

That Guernsey looks great

On a tight budget as probably most are, but I think that jumper will look good framed in the living room?

Yeah and when u have finished watching us play and have a had a few beverages u go throw darts at it ? to release some frustration.

Been a member for 40 years, I’ll donate more when the club actually starts to perform on field and become relevant again.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
