One thing you'd like to see in 2020 aside from a Demon flag and Brownlow.

I'll go with Kossie to kick 3 when we beat Norf in R23 in Tassie and finsh well above them.

There's something about Norf that's hard to like.  Maybe now Scott is gone it will ease.

Belting the Cats down there in R19, in turn we seal a top 4 spot and kill off their finals chances.

Easy.

Winning every game.

:)

Sustained success and a base.

MFC are perennial losers, long term change with a sustained run at finals is desperately needed.

May to play 20 games

Agree @george_on_the_outer, cup aside (couldn't give a stuff about the Brownlow), would love to see a proposed new base come to fruition. A disgrace that even in this day and age, we still don't have a purpose built facility.

Apart from the obvious? See Trac become a powerhouse player and get AA honours.

Weideman to become a serious player

A fully fit list to pick from every week.

Would love to see T-Mac rediscover his form of 2018 and display it consistently , think he's the most important cog in this puzzle

Would love to see AVB go through a season uninjured and finding his most damaging, bone-crunching form.

Could not put it better.

If........?     ......last year with a mostly [censored] side,  if    he was playing up forward, influencing or kicking perhaps 2 goals a match,

Self belief and confidence.   It does not need to be AVB just some one to play with his intensity and strength at the ball or the player with the ball !

If AVB can get on the ground for 2020,  anything is within reach.

Go Dees !!  2020

Truthfully...  All of the above,                                 Except Rangers

Spanish side Barcelona much better colours

1.  I'd like to see AVB and Weideman play meaningful seasons.  If this happens we are a significantly better team.

2.  I know it's not one thing but I want to see two (or more) fringe/developing players became good AFL quality players.  Suspects are Jackson, Pickett, Rivers, Jordon, Sparrow, Lockhart, Dunkley, Spargo, Baker, Chandler and Smith.

3.  I'd like to see Bennell fit and firing.

All of these things lead to a much better team and list.  That wins games and all the rest will follow.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
