Apparently we held two players over for tomorrow -- Stretch and Josh Wagner.  Hope it doesn't mean either Lever or Hore as late outs!

Just saw there is a fair chance Oliver wont play tomorrow. Billy Stretch was pulled out of todays game 2 hour prior.

Shows what you know.

Srsly though, how is a 19 year-old who made his professional debut last year (and has thus far failed to set the game alight in any tangible sense) considered a leader? I’d love to see him grow as a player (at our club) but how does a word like that get bandied about in this instance?

Of course he is. Goes with the season. We have had a late out the last few games to go with our long list of injuries and always good players.

Meanwhile other sides we play have close to their best side in and then the week later lose key players. This week Lynch out for the Crows and Hurn and Yeo for the Eagles.

Oliver will play. If it’s just a tight back, he has the bye next week to recover.

Would be a different story if we had a 5 day break going into next week.

Clayton Oliver leaves track early... ??

Clarry is a machine I don't think he will miss. However I believe that Lever is the one that might be the out only because of playing a half of football for Casey and doing his ankle missing the week after and then being selected to play Queens Birthday.  Training or no training it doesn't sit well with me.

Half a game of football in 12 months after a knee reco?  IMO not enough game time No game fitness in a blockbuster a recipe for disaster. I hope not.  Genuinely hope I am wrong.

What training are they doing a day before the game???

Cmon man...it’s called a light touch work session. Every AFL club does it.

The Mornington Peninsula was a key and designated recruitment zone for the Dees, for years. The Healy boys came from that league near the end on that allocation. Footy at Chelsea was hard, skilled and tough - dreaded playing down there across a 2-year period as the 'visitors'.

Why do some posters call Oliver Clarry Choo Choo?

Perhaps there is some clever or witty reasoning behind it?

Only one poster calls him that and there is zero wit or reasoning  behind it.

Spargo is fine. Has earned his place, certainly in relation to the other small forwards down there. Not to mention, not sure who he's keeping out ... Bedford?

Team looks solid, just missing Melksham and Jetta for mine, Vandenberg would be handy as well.

Spargo needs to get more possessions, but typically uses the ball very well when he gets it. Is probably low on confidence, like a lot of the team this season!

Team looks a lot better this week, agree adding in Jetta & Melksham would be ideal.

Should put in a solid effort against the Pies, pity we blew last weeks match.

It’s only picket fence, and it’s because he (picket fence) is a madman.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
