That was one of the best quarters of footy i have seen for years.

Both sides flat out....

Early they were too hot on htb now they're not paying anything all Collingwood's way.

West Coast are very loath to bring on PLan B. Is Simpson a good coach? Is Jack Darling a spud? Is this 2015 all over?

Howe should have been pinged for htb in that quarter.

Only 2 goals in it. Game back on. Im still going for wc. Yes they beat us but at least I know it took the premiership team to knock us out.

Plus I couldn't stand ed and bucks and there fans

Cracking game now, eagles have the tools to win this I reakon if they can keep it on there terms, but the pies could blow it open in 5 minutes

Yes, somehow. Finished 4th in his heat.

Maybe a telling question, 'DZ'.

Hasn't fired a shot Darling

Certified Grand Final choker.

Gotta love this pearler of a call from Bruce with 15min left in the 3rd quarter Collingwood in front by a goal, “jeez Collingwood have to keep scoring now”. No sh— Sherlock.

Good work by the Collingwood runner?

Pies are tiring.

Was always on the cards given the way they play. Still didn’t stop me paying out on eagles supporters during the first quarter.

The umpiring.... have they changed the rule book 1 game early?!

Compare this to a round 1 game.

55 each. Man if we were in this position in a Grand Final I don't think I'd make it through

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
