Swans happy to offload Hannebery after one average season. Who are they chasing? All will be revealed in time. #ETthetradebreaker.

I thought Sydney needed to obtain a couple of second/third rounders to ensure they can get Nick Blakey and some other academy player??

I’d love to be able to divulge more but I can’t at this time.

I think you're just taking the p%*s now Ethan. Or is that the plan? You extracting the urine is actually a riddle, the Swans are going to sign Todd Carney?

Reports that Scully has undergone a medical...Hawks want to be sure that he can do serious damage on the field. Rumours that Scully's management has in return requested a tour of their pokie facilities...want to ensure the club can do serious damage in the local community!

very VERY good! @TRIGON

How can the hawks possibly get wingard and Scully? They only have pick 16

scully would be an end of first round pick?

What could we get for him?

Hipwood for Hunt. That'll do Me

Hanneberry and 28 for 39 and next year's Saints 2nd pick.

Can that possibly be correct.

Traded for nearly nothing.

Henneberry is their Tyson but taking up even more salary cap space and a question as to whether he can even play his inside mid role anymore.

2 average seasons.

Big Contract. Low Production. Salary Cap Dump.

Swans are opening alot of salary cap space. May be for 2019 free agency/trade. They don't have any trade currency this year unless they release one of their better players.

Send them our way?

Just to play along with this rumour/hypothetical: I was thinking which player we'll send to Brisbane this morning, in order for them to send something substantial to us or Freo, which would allow for Freo to get what they want out of the Neale trade. So, Brisbane would keep their pick 23, get Neale and Hunt. And lose their 2019 first round pick and this years Pick 5 to MFC, Freo keep pick 11 and get Hogan. We'd probably send a 2nd round pick back to brisbane.

If this was to transpire JD, and we gave Hunt + 2nd round pick to BNE for pick 5; why wouldn't we trade 5 to GC for May and keep Hogan - just to stick it up Freo. (It would be especially nice - Freo would still need to move Neale and will have even less coming back)

Wouldn't want to lose Hunt tho, that said.

If it meant Hogan were to stay and we brought in May, i'd be willing to let Hunt go, absolutely.

Seriously, Hunt and our second round pick for 5, mate you should get a job with the Fremantle negotiators

Hunt and our first round pick (if we still had one) wouldn’t even net pick 5.

Only way he would ever become a Saint.

I do not want to lose Hunt.

Trade period starting to shape up nicely.

Tyson for Preuss, finally a serious backup ruck and the possibility of rotating rucks in a game is really interesting.

Hogan stays, regardless of the DL carry on, this is a geat outcome. He is a serious talent and makes a flag next year more likely than without him

Kent pick for KK? Or something around that mark. This kid could take tyson's place on the wing and bring some real speed and height.

I can't see the may deal getting done unless the suns change their tune but I am not that worried about it. We have a pretty nice selection of picks for Jason to do his magic.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
