Isn't that a shame.

Eat a bag you drug cheats!!

bombers for the flag. Lol

I really hope this doesn't turn into a repeat of the weekend where every single result went against us. Fortunately Geelong lost so at least that's a plus, but wins by Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Port and Collingwood do us no favours. Here's hoping there's some upsets yet to come... And not against us!

How does this impact MCG surface tho? genuine question. they water it anyway. and it never looks like that during the dry of summer?

also melbourne has had heavy rain recently.

Maybe the MCC are using a new grass strain. I have no idea.

Victoria isn’t being hit so hard. NSW and QLD are bone dry, whist sustaining a cotton industry!!

it just don’t add up...

We needed Ess to win that TBH

Agreed, they were never going to get to 13 wins with their run home. We needed them to pinch 4 points off Hawthorn and give us breathing space.

Hawks could easily get to 14 wins now.

The MFC has to keep winning. Will do us some good, win under pressure

Brisbane are still in it. Brown would be much better off putting in a second and third effort instead of playing and flopping around for frees.

Initially I was glad we had one less challenger for the 8 now but not so sure now.

Terrible results for us so far

All we need to do is worry about winning our own games, the rest will sort itself out.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
