He's absolutely killing all of our chances of trying to win this game! Runs around like an absolute headless chook and [censored] it up all the time.

Seriously that this is a thread is exposing a few of you as jokers

Nothing lower than name calling.

In the passion of a tight game, this can certainly be excused

youre complaining that you could be included in so mild a rebuke as a Joker? OK

Very gracious of you dd36

lol what a retarded post this is. Go have a lie down. I swear some people here are watching a completely different game than I am.

Nah this thread deserves to be seen by as many people as possible, if for no other reason than it shows even the most level headed, long term poster can make statements that they regret in an hours time.

Happens to the best of us.

If you watch that clip, ANB is at that stoppage when Oliver kicks it forward.  By the time Petracca gets his hands on the ball he has busted a gut to run forward at the death, beat everyone there and kick the sealer.

His running isn't for nothing.

Level headed isn’t a word I’d use to describe dazzler. And I say that with love.

I agree with what your post is.

Yep. He’s running over the centre circle as the ball reaches the Hogan contest.

Get rid of this poster! (Chanelling the original title on the OP - Nibbler was terrific tonight!)

One thing I will give @dazzledavey36is that he knows when he has arsed up and can laugh about it.

Look at that post of his from 10 years ago that was bumped a couple of weeks ago. That was 'Reading with Phonics Monkey'/ENYAW at his worst bad but he still laughed at it and took it in his stride. I wish others on here could laugh at themselves like that.

I gave him 4 votes in the player of the year thread. I thought he was very good tonight and it looked like he spent some time on Laird and curtailed his influence.

ANB was one of 4 players I paid attention to tonight (usually a differ t group each week), thought he was fantastic and I actually do see his pressure acts, you won’t see them if you don’t watch closely and they won’t show up on the stats sheet but I can see the value in his team first attitude.

I reckon Nibbler is a player you've got to see live to appreciate his full value. His running and pressue is absolutely first rate

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash.
