We don't play them till round 10 He's struggling anyway. I'll back us in to beat them no matter what side they put on the park. Quote
Bombay Airconditioning 6,508 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Let’s revisit the ladder after Hawthorn, Richmond and Essendon. Sitting 3rd after wins against Brisbane and North doesn’t count for a lot. 13 Quote
Rod Grinter Riot Squad 5,681 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Hockey much more interesting and skilful Quote

Brisbane should have beaten Port last week and North smashed the Saints (who were tipped to be there or thereabouts for finals preseason.) There’ll be no easy games this year for any team. 1 Quote

It’s been a very average season so far. Poor quality matches by the bucketloads each week. Stuck in the airport with a flight delay so I watched it, because what else do I have to do, and it was putrid. I actually fell asleep momentarily. 1 Quote
BigFez 1,491 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 That was a terrible game. Adelaide's inability to defend Collingwood when they brought the ball inside with quick hands was appalling. Still don't rate Collingwood based on that, Adelaide were simply horrible. Quote

DemonWheels 1,118 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Adelaide were terrible. Weren’t willing to tackle all night and as many commentators suggested pre-match they went in too tall with their forward line. I watched a fair bit of the game and the ball hardly ever got past Adelaide’s half forward line. Good on Collingwood for taking the win. Will be interesting to watch over the next few weeks how they go and how we both measure up by the time we meet on Queens Birthday Monday. 1 Quote
rjay 25,424 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Only watched the first half then switched over... Jane Jenkins was embarrassing, but so to were most of the Crows team. The game looked over in the first 10 mins. A question...is Eddie quickly coming to the end? he's really struggled so far this season & appears to be off the pace, the magic has gone missing. 2 1 Quote

I’ve had enough champagne to make me forget that I still have another 13 hours before I’m home, but not enough to make me appreciate that game of footy. At least I’ll be home with plenty of time to watch our game on Sunday. Can’t wait! Edited April 13, 2018 by Jaded 3 Quote
dl4e 5,851 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 The filth had a training run. Adelaide were pathetic. Tex Walker is the biggest piece of shizenhausen to take the field. He is puff the magic dragon and can shove his clenched fists right u& h#$ a%+@. 2 Quote
Watts Jurrah Dunn? 735 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 The arrogance of Adelaide to play 5 key tall forwards in those conditions. Clearly just thought they'd be too good and could experiment. Wow. 1 Quote

praha 11,267 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Richmond and the Bulldogs have both proven that small and contested footy holds up in high pressure matches. Adelaide was a high contested ball winning side last year but once a team exploited their top heaviness, they struggled to adapt. I hope we smash them and Sydney this year. Quote

Adelaide were useless, but regardless of the opposition, the Pies ball movement was stunning. Hard fast low kicks with pinpoint accuracy, good fast hands and excellent rucking from Grundy who ended up with over 30 possessions. Quote

Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Aside from Good Friday I’ve enjoyed a lot of other games this year. You could just tell Collingwood were on last night from the first bounce. They did everything better and were far cleaner with the ball. 1 Quote
What 18,810 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Collingwood thoroughly deserved that win. Dominated from the first second and played the conditions perfectly. Everyone had Adelaide pencilled into the top 4. Would love to see them fall down the ladder, preferably missing the 8. Sloane is not a superstar. Not even close. Gets tagged out of games way too often. Betts is finished. Quote
brendan 3,458 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I didn’t even think to check the weather if I thought it would be wet I would have changed my tip to Collingwood, Adelaide were way too tall and missing the crouch brothers who would thrive in wet weather Quote
Pipefitter 2,234 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 That was some sort of game from Grundy. Looking forward to queens bday. Quote
