Use the old theme song Demons

that new one is stilted and “Forced”

They are too polite...

stuff you AFL...

A sad attempt SWY.  They sound like a bunch of eunuchs compared to the original Fables.  "Stuff" is too nice a term for the AFL on this one!

As usual the afl have decided to do something without asking our opinion and we have to accept it because we have no choice. Weren’t asked if we wanted it, just “too bad we’re doing it, tough luck if you don’t like it”.

The people’s game my a- -

Just heard this the news.

Why would they change the bloody songs.

What has out club put out.  I saw Eddie was not happy.

The demons need to inject some demon and stand up to the AFL on this one.  Some traditions shld never be tinkered with and this is one of them.

Just had a listen to all the songs..... haven't heard that much banjo since I last watched Deliverance. Freo get extra points for those hot guitar licks in the background.

Thanks I had a listen.  Not a fun its different enough especially the intro before the singing to annoy me.

Surelly the clubs would have had to sign off it.  But given some reactions I say nothing of the sort.  They had footage on the Perth news of the WC coach looking confused when the new version was plated today.

I'm just relieved they didn't add our second verse like they did for Geelong and Port... they are pretty terrible...

Tha second verse they’ve added to Geelong’s is truly awful. Stop tinkering ffs. Just stop it.

Only thing I think they should do is reintroduce our second chorus. “Oh the team played fine in the year 39.” Every merchandise I had always had it in printed lyrics, but they never played it. I haven’t heard it for years.

How many more lessons in this "renewal and improvement" space need to be learned?   Arnotts with their Shapes flavours, BIG M with their chocolate flavour, Coca Cola (repeat offenders), the bloody MCC with the MCG siren (the digital wizardry could never replicate the sound and it's now been lost to the annals of history) and so the list goes on.

The new song is not the same.  And it's inferior.  DeeSpencer nailed it.

Reflective of an obsession with tinkering.  Symptomatic of an organisation with a bloated management team, out of control egos and an out of touch CEO who doesn't understand the fundamentals of the business.  Lived through it at BHP.

Please email the club if you're aggrieved as I am.

Please don’t hold your breath, we can’t afford to lose another member.

This is why I respect Eddie, will stick up for his club. We don’t.

I understand they’re in a Hurry to celebrate, but after a victory, can the players sing it properly? They sound like Alvin and the chipmunks.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
