Yep Goooooone for all money Addicted and can't help myself!

Just finished watching the 1987 Round 22 Footscray Vs Demons clash from the Now Whitten Oval !

I actually have "The Winners" Video tape of the second half plus interviews and Tim Lanes "Robust Commentary" to Boot

I had it converted to DVD ages ago and glad I did.

Gee how sensational was that day. Apparently my dad took me to the 1964 Premiership win but I was too young to remember and in the scheme of things being a Melbourne supporter this win Vs Dogs is probably my biggest thrill no doubt!

FLOWER, WIGHT, YEATS, WILSON, EARL, BRETT LOVETT, DANNY, BAILS, WILLIAMS, JIMMY, STRETCH, DEAN All stared that day.

Wow factor and tingling still STILL has stayed with me to this day!

I also HAVE Broadcom copies of the Elimination Final Vs Nth and Semi Vs Swans

JUST SENSATIONAL

I/M ADDICTED AND CAN'T HELP MYSELF!

WATCHING and WAITING!

Watch some tapes of the Mark Neeld coached games (2012- 2013). It should cure your addiction PF.

If you are going to suffer an addiction, then this is as good as it gets. Self limiting and uplifting at the same time.

Looking forward to the day when you can replace the recordings with new ones.

I was there is 1964 and I remember very little other than Gabo's run. These pictures remind me (copied from old slides). The last one is at first bounce.

I was at cricket practice. A 14 year old in the nets at Sunshine Cricket Club. We lived in the street surrounding the park. There weren't too many trannies - in those days a trannie was a portable radio - listening to the game.

I was bowling during the last quarter, trying to concentrate, every now and then I'd lament another Barassi behind - I'd been to the 2nd semi where we smashed them - and starting to worry.

I hear the Gabelich wobbly cake walk to goal, I bowl, I fetch, I bowl another ball.

Then I hear a roar, it's my favourite back pocket player of all time - yes, better than Fowler and Johnson - the mighty ex-rover who went AWOL, returned in '64 to win a flag.

Them was the days.

Next year, my so called Leaving Year, we win the first 7 games, most of them not by very much, then the mighty Norm is sacked and apart from Northey, the first few years of Balme, the Daniher years and the last two years of rehab it's been a bucketload of shite.

I was at the Western oval and glued to the transistor in the last quarter.  Hawthorn hit the front and won that game the Demon supporters at Western oval were in raptures  The Footscray supporters must have thought the siren had gone  AND SO IT GOES.....

What a great day that was. We moved out side 3/4 time of the prelim to queue up for the Grannie down "T" section and slept the week out side the ground. The cheer squad then was brilliant and really help make the day. Never got home until Monday after the functions at the "G" that night and Sunday. I'm sure some on here will remember that.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
