How about Tippett for Watts as a straight swap?

I want a 1st round draft pick for Watts, since he's still contracted I'd prefer to play hard ball and say two 1st round picks, or at the minimum, this years 1st round and next years 2nd round. If they set on the Lever deal, I'd use Swans/Ports 1st round pick and our 2nd round on that deal, then use our pick 10 to try and get Andrew Brayshaw. Tippet would be a complete waste.

We have laid our cards on the table with Watts, we are not in a great position to negotiate for value trades, that is my argument against Goodwin's strategy. It is not about whether we move Watts on or not, it is how we have telegraphed our opinion on his value, that is zilch, he is gone.

Two first rounds picks for Watts? Hahah. You've gotta be kidding me. Demonland's services would crash if we picked up a Watts-esque player - a talented 26 year old who's been unable to nail down a consistent senior gig - for two first rounds picks!

For some comparison, we only gave away 29 for Hibberd (and we upgraded 68 to 59).

I didn't say he was worth, or that we'd get, two 1st round picks for him, I said that is what I'd demand if I were the Dees. I'd then hope for at least a 1st round pick, hopefully a 2nd round pick too because he's still contracted for 2 years, if Swans/Port want him badly enough, make them pay overs. ?

If not, we keep him and hope that he pulls his finger out and plays to his potential. I'd prefer to keep him rather then throw him away for a 2nd round pick. ??

Could make sense if Tippett wasn't Tippett.

Which Tippett  are you talking about, the one who could play or the one who can't play. Either way they are past there best.

I'd rather Pick 14 be a part of the deal somehow.  We can do much more with that than we could do with Tippett.

Swans give up pick 14 for Watts.  You are giving a ludicrous trade idea. Are you allowed to ? Oh it’s Wuseblood again.  The one who says Watts is unprofessional and has broken standards!!

The fact you can't see this means you aren't worth wasting any more time on.  I only want to discuss this with people who have half a brain cell.

Watts for Rohan?

I'd do it. I'd also move Hunt forward. I'd love to see Hunt, Rohan, Garlett and Hannan harassing opposition defenders. We need to create a point of difference forward of the centre to complement our strong contested ball winning midfield.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
