9 out of 10 = 90%

90 out of 10 = 900%

Perhaps we need an expert to adjudicate. Do we have a mathematician in the house?

To workout this, divide the numerator by the denominator, sum this value to the integer part then multiply the result by 100%, so:

90/10 in percent = 90 divided by 10 x 100% = 9 X 100% = 900%

Ok then.

And I'm glad you aren't our list manager

So you think that at some point Weideman will kick 50 plus goals in a season ?  He had a good run of games this year, barely got a kick in the last few . The bloke we are apparently happy to let go, has already done it . Let's see what Tom ‘s “ new shape”  produces , madness to trade him out .

New shape? he wasn't even big last season. He was so bad this season that i'm mentally done with him. I want to see the back of him and his brother. That game against Brisbane where Oscar didn't even start the game on his opponent just about sums up his career.

Ethan, this post suggests you are either just coming off drugs and booze or just starting back on drugs and booze.

I didn't say that. Your outrage is trying to put words into the mouths of others

Weid is worth preserving with. Imo he has more upside than tmac. He's young, still developing and is more important to us long term (with Ben Brown) than tmac

I will agree to disagree with you

Not to mention that with a Brown in the side to take the first defender, Weideman will have a lot more freedom (his best this year was before Jackson went down injured and they were working in tandem).

And Weideman is better 1-1 and he will be able to get that more with Brown being the focus of defences. I also think W is better up the ground but yet to be seen

...as well, and you can include the Hawthorn match in that 'manning up' inability.

Correct, we can get him in and keep mcdonald. But i would guess that next year keeping Oliver would be harder and you don't want to be paying 600+ a year for a player to be in the VFL.

I'm actually bullish on Baker as a winger (i was thinking if we got smith, that baker would be able to learn off him and replace him in 2-3 years time. I really like him regardless (just hasn't been played much).

Baker got what most AFL don't have he can kick goals on both feet, even dusty can  only kick on the right boot, Baker could be a very good winger, just needs to work on his endurance.

The weed still kicked more goals than Brody mihocek did in the Home and away season. He was the number 1 pea in the forwardline, will now take the second best defender with brown taking the spotlight off him.

Or like a 50/50 decision, this is a 90/10 decision. A clumsy description but does make sense.

good point

Hence 90% - unless we plan on cloning him and getting 9 Ben Browns ?

In his very limited exposure under Goodwin this year, I saw Baker playing an expanding game and thoughtful form benchmarks that cast aside the 'ginger ninja' cacophony, replacing it with a concept of 'predator' for the ball, for space and for the opportunity to run with that ball to good effect. When our team realises this attribute, he's going to be a target in space, early and rampant. Don't ya reckon?

Another day,  and no news.

Doubt Brown is coming to Melbourne, would have been confirmed by now.

Can deals be announced yet? I thought it was only the Free Agency period.

Uncivilized wait for news, isn't it? Delays - uncertainties - stuffing around with supporters' minds. Has it all been a failure? In weeks, the Club will be asking for more dollars and worst of all, more tolerance that 'they' are doing the correct thing.

No logical base to that statement.

Not to mention that these things don't get reported on as much over the weekend.

Watch Geelong turn their attention to Brown now, now they can't get Cameron for free...  ?

He will be announced next week sometime

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
