The best part about him and Frost getting the ball into the forward line is they gain 10-20 metres on the run first then send it long. It's often caught out defenders who are trying to block the leads.

I agree, the problem is that it seems to catch our players out at times too!

Jayden Hunt's poor kicking is the biggest facily on Demonland.

1) ordinary kickers of the footy can't just torp it from 65 on an awkward angle.

2) when he bombs it into the forward line it is almost always at a dangerous angle into a hot spot

3) when you have blistering pace and break lines there is often no-one to kick too in the modern game.

His disposal efficiency belies his actual disposal credibility.

I think his poor disposal has been overstated also, but it was pretty horrible on the weekend.

To add to your list, I believe the bombs are somewhat a coaching directive specifically for Jayden and a couple others, and in so he is also often trying to execute high-difficulty kicks.

Also, watch closely and he's nailed some absolute beauties this year, generating scores and creating opportunities straight off his boot.

Was curious as to why ANB came in over the top and pushed Powell-Pepper off Hunt and after looking at it closer, Powell-Pepper actually drops the forearm to the head of Hunt and keeps it there.

How about Powell-Peppers first don't argue attempt at the start of the game, tackled, dropped the ball. Even conceded the free and stood there... play on. WTactualF.

Col pepper has a little bit of form when it comes to doing the sly stuff, like dropping the forearms on the ground. Got a few tricks.

Luckily old/ young S. Aust players know who does what.

He did the same thing a few times during the game. Tried the fend but was denied by a frantic Dees player, he just stood around and thought fk this, this is all too hard.

It was beautiful!

I was happy to delist him way back when...

Ready to hand back my I-know-better-than-the-footy-dept membership card.

Thanks for sticking fat Todd/Jason/Brendan/Roosy/et al.

Thank you also Robert Shaw, Director of Coaching at Brighton Grammar School, for setting up the fundamentals for Hunt , Watts and Salem. Now we need your influence to bring Josh Kelly back to join his former schoolboy teammates! ?

Just quietly though Powell-Pepper is pretty handy for a first year player. Good size, strength, aggressiveness and footy skills. Wouldn’t mind him in the red and blue.

Is there a repository of all these gif's somewhere on Demonland? It would be awesome to go back and refer to these.

Unfortunately no. The only ones I've created are the Hunt Torp and Tackle ones which incidentally is the name of my new 80s hairband tribute band.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
