Honestly, this is the flattest I've seen us since 2016. I reckon we have 6 of our best 9 players injured now, and we have zero energy left from the draw.

Not reading much into tonight.

I've said all year that Sydney are better than their form suggests.

I'd be shocked if they didn't play in the Grand Final.

I would be shocked if they did...

We're making them look good tonight.

Not yet. Just that it's his foot.

They showed video of him about to lead the boys back upstairs at half time.

Something happened on the way back up.

Hopefully it's just a rolled ankle not a serious injury.

Hold on guys...there are a lot of games in the season...in this one our injuries have robbed us of structure ...and they are tired.  A bigger break and bring it on next week!

Dees nack to earth tonight.

In a way....good

This IS whete we really are...now build from this...adjustblist from this...[censored] off the useless from this.

Lessons to learn tonight.

2017 not our year

..2018 onwards ? Well ..maybe :)

This isn't where we really are. This is nowhere near our best-22 and those that are out there are dead tired. The ins Goodwin selected didn't do what he wanted, so he's also down on form. We're much better than this.

We won't win another game until we get some players back from injury. No Jones, Hogan, Watts, Viney, Garlett, Salem is too much class, pressure and grunt to cover.

Looked like Viney hurt himself in the warm up prior to 3rd quarter. Came out of the huddle limping.

You've got to be kidding me. Playing 50% of a reserves side tonight. They are just ok. If they make the finals they'll be dumped in the first two weeks.

we would win this comfortably with any 3 of the 6 guns we currently have injured.

OMG - Trac to Melksham.  Melks looked bewildered but finished well.

How good is the Trac??

Lack of rotation has hurt us and contributed to injuries. Should have been a minimum 4 changes with fresh, running players.

Gotta give them some credit. They have been good and their pressure has been great.

Naismith doing well as their only ruck.

Their inside mids are very good

Frost doing pretty well on Buddy.

Frost and Omac have been great considering the amount of swans inside 50s.

Florent caught red handed - then throw against us.

Dreadful decision.

BUMMER gift goal (by our defenders) to Frankenstein.

Even allowing for Swans innacuracy if the margin stays anything near this it will be a herculian effort by the troops we have left!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
