He kicked 2 in a row at Etihad once, as a defender.

As a forward I'm quietly confident he'll kick 12. In a row.

DA, you've cleverly not nominated what he'll replicate 12 times in a row - kicks OOF, points, opposition players, turnovers, just 12 field kicks in a row before hand passing???

I think you'll find @Bells also has some good sources

No disrespect to Bells, didn't seem to be taking a position either way.

Would love to see Max back for WA but believe Jane is right, not happening.

My source tells me that Max will definately not be flying over to Perth for next weeks game.

I am sure your source is correct, as why would you risk him travelling to Perth, first game back.

I recon our onballers have learnt a lot re sharking, tackling at hit outs, reading opposition ruckmen, and the absence of our own ruckman lately, will only benefit the team in the future when Max returns.

Agree.

Think you'll find Jane's source is of the highest authority.  Max not going to WA.

Hmm ok,  well  I can confirm that by next week Max will be ok to play, and expects to play, but it will come down to the choices made by Goody et al.

But they train at the same venue and have direct alignment so i'm sure he felt connected with the AFL side? Perhaps he has something to prove to them for not giving him a shot at AFL

Loving how the footy club is responding to Demonland topics. First the write up on Omac, replete with highlight package - and in which Omac says he knows he some critics but ignores them.

With the Doggies bringing in 5 players it feels like the ideal time for our boys to try out a fast start, and crank up the pressure on them from the get go.

Finally ready to move on from Monday, and this game promises to be another cracker!

Go Dees.

Anyone found the cheap tickets at etihad like we had earlier in the year ?

Nah, the Telstra one's are $20 which are just General Admission, which are only $5 cheaper.

If you know an AFL member though, they should be able to get you a guest pass on Level 1 for $9.

Several dees players in the media after last weeks win talking the club up again.

I know they have duties and careers but I wish we could sometimes hide after a win and let our footy talk for us. Been a big problem of getting ahead of ourselves and losing after a big win.

Hope it doesnt happen again this weekend as its a chance to stake a top 4 spot.

Lose. And they did. But I missed Port so unless the Lions shock us all we could be 5th. Still good though.

I'm trying not to take notice of other results to much, we just need to focus on ourselves. It's a big game this week, a great chance to get on a roll by beating some quality opposition.

That said Richmond losing has definitely given us a hand!

Tigs have lost 4 close ones. They were lucky against us though. This season is so close. Now Im worried about Swans making a charge,

Our destiny is all our own, definitely, just keep winning and finals will happen.

But with Richmond, West Coast, Port, Geelong all faltering a bit we could be top 4 with a bit of luck. And that would be huge.

Haven't been as keen on a game and win this year with the exception of Adelaide and St Kilda. Our team has shown that it's as good as or better than any if it comes to play - but the Dogs had us bested last year (like the Saints, with a wide spread in the packs and then destroying our zone). We take this one, and then I'm certain we can beat anyone come the crunch bar (for now) GWS. Get it done Dees.

Bells was on the money.

Happy to be proven incorrect. My source who is extremely close to Max told me the day after Queens Birthday that they were unlikely to risk flying him to Perth. I will see if she can enlighten me when I see her tomorrow.

I would be rapt to see Max play next week.

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
