Reports on AFL site that Lever's been advised not to come to the Crows B&F tonight.

First they low ball him, and now they won't even buy the bloke dinner. Classy.

Wat a bunch of sookie sookie la la’s they r.

Hes going home for personal/family reasons and they r hanging him out to dry.

Pathetic behaviour by the cows.

Bunch of Bogans.

Justified his decision though.

Appauling to be honest.

He has every right to be there.

10 + 27 = 2098 which is equivalent to pick 4 (2034 pts).

But, 2098 is also equivalent to pick 16 plus pick 17 (2092 pts)!

Richmond holds both.  Would Richmond trade them tho?  They could be persuaded if they want young Parick Naish as father/son and think he won't go top 10.  That way they can use pick 10 on a top player and use lesser picks for Naish.  I suspect we won't be the only club with a top 10 pick asking that question of Richmond.

Tigers very unlikely to trade both those picks - father and son on the way. Brisbane is more likely after they get the rocky compo.

The Crows claws are out.

I think its one thing to play hared ball with the club but it is another thing to run this pejorative campaign against him.  Pretty low really.

He wasn't going so I guess Adelaide had to explain his absence somehow...best to withdraw the invitation, then.

Will be interesting to see where he finishes in their B&F:) Demoted to 22nd perhaps...

votes are being recast as we speak :P

Crows leadership group thinking about unsigned players & next year and not on the current finals series how can the coach let this happen. I wonder what his ex team-mates think individually about the bagging he is getting. There is an almighty stink about this Adelaide culture and I reckon Cameron and a number of others will be looking over their shoulders and thinking I do not want to be here.

They say one of Lever's traits is that he is a good decision maker!!!  I wouldn't disagree.

Gee, they take Gunston's award but let Danger keep the B&F Blight medal!

Hypocrites!

Now all we need is for Lever to walk into the draft so AFC get SFA and I will be searching for another TLA.

Well Adelaide surely won’t want to take Francis from Essendon since they are so high up on the fence of “moral high ground”

Well the plot thickens. Aaron Francis has requested a trade back to Adelaide (the city), and he's still under contract. Surely the righteous AFC wouldn't dare trade for a player of such moral standing. Francis has only been at Essendon 2 years.

If Sloane isn’t signed by round 10 next year watch the whole club go into meltdown. They are just handling this so poorly

I hope when he finally lands with us that the club steps up and STRONGLY defends him. Feel like their attack on him  is getting  quite personal and hope we the balls as a club to stand up proud....and not cop all this shite. Id like to see the crows do this to a player that was leaving for collingwood.

Now that was an amusing read. They come across as half witted filth supporters.

Come across as? :roos:

Haha... Adelaide you bunch of sooks!

Your behaviour is disgraceful. So what a player wants to go home. You want the world for him and treat him like this. We will give pick 64 you morons.

And Tex your a bogan like your hair cut and the way you played in the grand final! Captain NO SHOW... Haha

Pull him into line Bernie he is embarrassing himself. Haha

Dees v Crows turning into a spiteful rivalry. Love it!

Bring it on Crowsuckers!

Adelaide can not take Francis based on their treatment and comments on Lever.

Would be the most hypocritical thing of all time.

They'll release another article about how Lever is a snake to cover this trade up. Is Roosy doing 'League Teams' again this year? I'm sure he will stir things up.

What a bunch of sooks, typically Adelaide play the victim syndrome. No wonder I dont follow an Adelaide team.

Don't worry we have Jack Viney!

I wait for the media to slam this. More chance of me winning tattslotto.

After reading the big footy for narrow minded imbeciles board about Lever, Adelaide have become my new most hated club in the League.

What a disgraceful way to treat an ex-player who has every right to leave after fulfilling his contract.

What have they got in store for Charlie Cameron?

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
