I get annoyed  when I visit the two large NB shops in Melbourne, Chadstone and DFO South WHarf, and find that there is not one piece of MFC apparel on display or being sold anywhere in the shop. They have to do better than that. There is Liverpool stuff everywhere and it sells. The fact is, the should be contributing to our marketing, they're not

Do we reciprocate too and try to advertise and sell NB gear in our Demon store or online? If we don't maybe we can start to and ask them to do what you say (great idea by the way)! All about exposure :)

We give them heaps of exposure. We have a whole section dedicated to NB gear on the Demon Shop page

And don't forget this DL forum page. FWIW, I believe they ran out of Melbourne Gear last year just before the 70% sale, or am I being naive?

New Balance is harris scarfe brand, bargain basement sportswear. Hoping we get a decent brand to put our gear together eventually. Have bought 4 hats in 5 years and they're all garbage.

Agree

hope we can get a real sports wear company on board  in future

NB is basically lower end

old farts gear

You do realise that NB is one of the most popular brand of shoes amongst young people?

I personally think they are a great brand to be associated with and have the potential to be one of the biggest in world sport.

Wait. If their quality is so fantastic why would you need a new pair a short time after buying the last?

My feet aren't going to change size so no issues there. Current pair is nowhere near worn out. Asics Kayano are the only better ones I have had.

Thanks New Balance for sponsoring the MFC.

I reckon their stuff is ok. Like a lot of brands.

I have bought one pair of trail runners using the great discount and they have been as good if not better than any others I've had .

but I've found it really hard to find anything else worth buying ,apart from a tennis top for my Lady

I'm  glad others have enjoyed their discounts

we all have different tastes and needs

I can appreciate everyone has different tastes.

I think long term it could be a great partnership.

No its not, its awesome.   Winners, winners, winners.

I will exclusively buy New Balance gear from now.

He'll be the biggest loser 6 months into his term, and by the way if you think winning by demonising minorities, racism and blatant hate speech is a good thing then there's no hope for you dude

May not be allowed to in anti compete clauses with the AFL stores.

New Balance sucks, the CEO and board are big Trump supporters

Ahhhhh, you may want to fact check that and look at what they actually said. I will paraphrase for you. They were asked what they thought of Trumps ideas around trade agreements and putting in place more protection for US workers, they said they backed Trump on this point. That is all, no more no less. So unless you are someone who thinks you have to agree with everything a politician says or none of it, and that there is no grey, there is no nuance, then I would say they don't back Trump, they support one of his policies which is directly related to the running of the business. Even Pauline Hanson occasionally comes out with the good idea or two, I may agree with those points but I will not back her as a whole in any way shape or form.

By the way, Sanders and Clinton both held the same view on this as Trump and NB.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
