The Mitch Clark Thread Reprised

No from me.

There are many reasons why AFL footy just isn't for him.

He's a DFA, so no need to draft him. Personally, I wouldn't mind him on our list provided it was on minimum pay with performance-based incentives. I wouldn't use a pick on him or pay him even an average wage, but if he cost us nothing much then it could be worth the gamble.

I'd say his papers were stamped the moment Geelong landed Aaron Black for SFA.

It's hard to see him getting another gig at AFL level but good luck to him if he does.

I would wish him all the best for the future but in terms of our future, it would be an emphatic no............

Wow. Hard to believe anyone would want him back. He is a wrecking ball.

He is done as a footballer!!!

a massive NO

Think his time as an AFL footballer is up. Time for him to move on, me thinks.

No way, that guy is bad news.

Same.

Plus I'd doubt the club would want him back anyway.  The bloke looked horrible in his one senior game this year, his body is shot and the game has passed him by.

Realistically though, no one would go near him.

Other thread is locked, not sure why.

He has now had his papers stamped and is available.

Pre-season draft?

Past aside, I'd give him a spot on the list for a year as insurance for Gawn.

Cats cut Mitch Clark after two-years

 You must be joking!!

This Bloke Ditched us with " I need a new start Yadda Yadda"

I wouldnt have him if I was promised the world! Or any else BIG!!

Tainted Tainted Goods with money as centrepiont!

NO

i could see collingwood going for him, he has most of the baggage already that most collingwood players take years to accumulate.

No. I think we originally tried to shop him to Collingwood when we were after Heritier Lumumba and they didn't want him.

Mitch who ???

I thought they wanted him but he chose Geelong

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
