Salem is a big loss today; he has dominated the game.  Unfortunately, can't see him playing next week with his concussion history.

Time to put him on ice for next year!

The whole ground is a crapheap. Cant believe they are playing every final here. Surely princess park victoriapark junction oval are better or even the home teams should get home final.

I love how we are keeping our boys playing instead of putting them on ice for preseason. Couldn't get better practice for the big time than a heated contest today.

unfortunately things like the Salem incident happen, hopefully we see no more.

I played a bit of footy with Masters who tackled Salem, one of the least dirty players you'll see. Just awful how these things happen sometimes

Don't think it was the tackler people were angry about, it was the dirty [censored] who threw the knees in after he had been knocked out

They've revved clarry up for sure

I don't think the thuggery techniques work against Clarry; it just makes him angrier.

A bit like Doomsday at the end of Batman vs Superman.

Oh, pipe down Saty. I'm a film producer. I know which one I'd rather be. A VFL player or a filmmaker doing what I love everyday.

Show me some of your rushes, will let you know whether there is a moment in there that some would regard as pathetic

So you think kicking 40 metres across goal to no one but a Willy player was a good decision do you?

You should be a coach.

No just commentary on a game, with keyboard heroes who have never made a wrong decision in a footy game, get over it

Doesn't take away from the point you're making, but Junction Oval is being re-developed by Cockram and the centre square is currently a muddy hole.

He just needs to make sure it doesn't distract him too much. That tackle was a bulltish free kick, but the love tap was probably uncalled for.

My thoughts exactly the VFL shouldn't be playing finals at a ground used for cricket. The centre wicket area and the practice wickets where Salem went down head first would be as hard as concrete. Not acceptable VFL! And it is not as if Port is some boutique stadium, it's a bit of a dump.

And Oliver sling tackled Gibbon into the deck in the centre square who was holding his head in pain.

Bull. You do that by tackling harder, getting to the ball first. Hitting a guy after his taken a mark is loosing focus

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
