Take out Cyril and that was a 10 goal win.

Add some decent umpiring and its 12.

I think we have a pulse.

Just a pulse!

That was a massive team 'heart that beats true for the red and the blue'!

Special mention  to Pederson. After a relative quiet first half he was brilliant in the final quarter.  And gave some great physical contests all day.

He certainly provided more than what Dawes has over the last few weeks.  It was great to see him go back and kick that crucial goal in the last quarter as well!

So Clarkson just used inexperience as an excuse for their loss today. The little person scrambling for excuses.

Your kidding right? Surely he can't claim that

IMO, Pedersen gets another year as depth. Twice the player as Dawes for half the price. Obviously not future, but valuable during the handover.

I'm overseas, is there anyone that can recommend how I go about watching a replay of it? I want to live every second of this incredible win!

I suggest you drill a hole in my head and peep inside. The replay will be going on in my head on high rotation.

The best part of the win was that it actually wasn't an anomaly in terms of individual performance - Watts, Gawn, Viney, Tyson etc are all very good players.

It was that it all came together for the team. Now they know. They don't just 'feel' it.

They know they've got what it takes.

Sucked in... You had your chance to merge with us ya scumbags!!

Yeeaaahhhh!

Lol - Hawthorn have won 3 premierships in a row and are on the top of the ladder while we have been the worst team of the decade and Hawthorn has beaten us the last 13 games.

Saying this I'm very excited about the future.

Had the great pleasure of watching the game with two close Hawks friends and a bevvy of Hawthorn supporters at a local pub up here and I think I can safely say I represented the red and blue with the vociferous support they deserved. Called the game midway through third when we'd answered their challenge. We were always going to win today. One for the true believers and the break out statement game we've all yearned. Whose shout?

Perfect, Gawn clearly BOG but outside of that a team effort, that is how we win games. That is why we will put another cup in the cabinet

Funny game with the highs and lows but today reminds me of why we all bother.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
