Watching the dogs v north game and Seeing th Bont made me ask did we have the chance to draft him.

Evidently we did if we had not have done the Dom and Salem thing.

With benefit of hindsight, what would we do now? What we did? Take Kelly? Take the Bont?

For mine, we do what we did. I say this in the hope that Christian gets over his poor run of luck and is that classy player we need, Yze style!

You are kidding me, that was a free? to Goldstien...for what exactly.....we might get done by the umps yet.

Leppa's farewell tour of Australia continues on.

How that bloke still has a job is a mystery to me.  So many better options out there.

Voss, Leppa......

For sure their next coach will be Akermanis, Simon Black or Matthew Lappin.

A few rubbish low scores this week, the week after Roos said teams are getting tired and the footy gets a bit uglier.

Meanwhile the youngest team we've put out beat the reigning premier and posted the 2nd highest score of the round thius far.

Getting too easy this caper.

You obviously missed Clarkson's presser where he bemoaned Hawthorn's young team!!

With an average of 196 games of experience or something. Laughable.

Poor sportsmanship on his part I thought, especially when he said 'they were off a little and we were on a little'.

Anyone else would say they were beaten by a better side, on the day.

Can't barrack for the them but hope Carlton wins so we can stay ahead of Saints on the ladder!

Would be great to finish above them at 9th or 10th...a real springboard for 2017.

Carlton are a rabble.  Their game plan is okay against some teams but their list is terrible.  Again, I have no idea why the media talks them up.  They're not a good football side.

Why aren't the Drug Cheats playing down at Geelong? This should be their 186, instead they're playing in Melbourne.

Further, we all know how depleted Essendon are, but it'll be interesting to see if Worsfold still has it next year.

When the fixture was done the CAS result hadn't been handed down.

However, this was the year to send Carlton down the highway, after their disaster last year. I'd be sending them there next year. It's only fair. Instead, Carlton get saved whilst the Dogs, finalists last year, have to go down there.

I'd love to see Carlton and/or Richmond playing in Geelong next year. It's time, and it's fair.

Nigel ? Both from Chiltern, but Matthew played for the Blues and Saints.

Was just reading this: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-08-06/forget-fourthorn-swans-set-to-soar and 15 of 18 coaches thought that Ess can make the finals next year.

The media view is that the returning 12 will automatically lift them back into contention in  2017 and it seems most coaches share that view.  But they don't have a decent ruckman, their key forward is a youngster, no forward line to speak of, Hurley is a swingman but can't play both ends of the ground, they have only a handful of on-ballers etc.

Even when some or all the12 come back they will need to settle into the team, get their touch back, learn game plan etc.  I think teams can cope with one or two players coming back after a year out but not with 6-12!

I see them being several years away from playing finals but obviously I'm missing something the coaches can see.

Lions need to bite the bullet and move Leppa on right away and start the search for a replacement, his results have been Neeld-like and their list is better than ours was when Roos took over.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
