People actually still believe GNF??

Wow..

DD what is about GNF and saty that so clearly upsets you? They ring your bell so much it reminds me of that Mars bar add of the monks going crazy with the bells (inset gif here)?

I honestly don't understand why if it they cause you so much angst you just don't put them on ignore. If either were trolls, and i'm not suggesting they are (well that's not entirely true, one of them has all the hallmarks of one) they must find your (and others) inability to stop yourself responding, and doing so with so much venom, hilarious. I mean if they were trolls this is exactly what they are looking for.

Any way different strokes for different folks, whatever floats you boat etc etc

The impression that I get is that his source is a coterie member who is a fanboy. Coterie members are usually fed snippets from board member friends, and in turn they like to embellish the story, because they see themselves as being privy to confidential info. This is how I see it:

- Member of football dept tells board member that we have made enquiries to Fyfe's management. Leaves out that 10 other clubs are also talking to Fyfe's management.

- Board member tells coterie member a glorified version that we are right into Fyfe.

- Coterie member tells GNF a glorified version that Fyfe is the likely trade if Hogan wants to go home.

I posted about his father being very ill mid year and it got deleted straight away and i received a warning demerit point.

I expect the same to occur.

You got the warning point because you continued to post about it after you'd been asked to stop.

We took the initial decision to keep news of Jesse's dad's illness off the boards because it hadn't been made public yet. This meant that the media either didn't know about it, or that if they did, they were respecting the wishes of the club and / or Jesse for it to remain private. We figured that if the information became public, it might add to the pressure he was already facing at a difficult time, and we didn't want to be responsible for that happening.

It ultimately became impossible to monitor and delete every single post mentioning it.

But the broader point still remains: posters should think carefully about the consequences of revealing sensitive information about a player's family or personal circumstances on a public forum.

I do find the inability of a certain few to stop themselves biting on my posts hilarious, they seem to need it

I do bait those few in a troll like way.

But I also enjoy a lot of topics where decent discussion takes place, with both sides of an argument being allowed to progress without the need for personal insults

Those certain few seem to have to fall back on personal insults, not only to myself but other posters, when their ability to actually rationalise their argument fails them

They accuse other people of being trolls, when they exhibit some of the behaviours themselves

Lol I have already explained why GNF is full of [censored]. Not my problem you weren't here to read it.

I respect anyone that has trade rumours except when it comes to GFN after the way he carried on and took the [censored] out all of us during that infamous trade period. Have no respect whatsoever..

And you honestly want me to explain why not only me but majority of Demonland have no respect for Saty? spare me..

You are speaking for everybody again Dazzle, which you have a habit of doing, there is a simple answer to this issue, don't read my posts, but as binman seems to suggest you have to read them, not sure why

Demonland has mods? News to me. I thought posters having shitfights in thread after thread was looked up favourably considering how often it happens on here.

Jesus. Settle petal. #hitanerve

You misunderstand me and perhaps i was unclear. You have made it abundantly clear, over and over again, what it is that so annoys you about GNF and Saty. I get that. How could i fail to.

What i don't get is the incredible level of angst it causes you (as evidenced by your above post). Saty has made it clear he is winding you up (and i have little doubt GNF doenst mind winding you up a little) yet you bite every time and give him more oxygen, not to mention pleasure and motivation to write more annoying stuff.

Anyway carry on.

Update: Jesse Hogan's old man's health has deteriorated. Naturally this is a difficult time for Jesse Hogan and as such contract negotiations have taken a backseat during this difficult, emotional time.

I'm not sure how I feel about this being posted on here. It's either untrue (which I'm not suggesting it is) but if that's the case it's horrifying behaviour, or its true - at which point we have someone revealing personal information about a players father to better inform us about a contract negotiation.

I know we all love the club but at a certain point it gets a bit ugly doesn't it? Have we just jumped the shark here?

It'll be telling if he goes on holiday or stays in Perth during the offseason.

Either way, hopefully this is all sorted one way or another by the trade period.

Really? Telling in what way?

We have no reason to disbelieve that his father is ill, so staying in Perth around his family would make perfect sense regardless of his playing future.

However, Jesse has again confirmed to the club that he wishes to remain at Melbourne and sign a long term contract.

The club has been contacted by Freo both club expect Hogan to stay a Dee as this is what he has been saying. However, if he was to change his mind over the death of his father Fyfe would be the trade.

But let me say again, the club extremely confident (99%) he is staying.

Also the club believes no player in the top 25 will request a trade this year.

Thanks for the update GNF.

Between the absolute carp on this thread, it was good to read this.

I agree why would it be telling? He is on a break, he can spend it whatever way he wants to

It'd be telling that he was a heartless [censored] if he shot off to Vegas with his mates while his old man was on his deathbed.

I'd be more interested in whether Goodwin has stayed in Perth after he was over there on Thursday, that would be more telling in that we are supporting Jesse

Poor old mods. Seriously. A thankless task and yet a number of people contribute to the mess and then throw their hands up and say 'where are the moderators'.

I would never throw my hands up, at my age I would have a problem catching them again

There you go, faulty, I've taken out the trash, or most of it. That's 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

I reckon that any poster calling for the mass deletion of posts of any sort ought to be press-ganged into doing the job.

Doc, I would be happy (and indeed consider it a public service) to delete all posts that are not my own.
