Interested in why people are voting for Kent? He finished the game well but was incredibly fumbly all night. Not close to my best.

Agreed. Nowhere near top 6.

6. Jetta - so reliable

5. Gawn - gives other players confidence

4. Jones - never gives up

3. Harmes - loves the contest

2. Oliver - never fumbles

1. Pedersen - a good target

6 - Gawn (21 taps to advantage is elite - and he played well around the ground)

5 - N Jones (his best game for the year)

4 - Harmes (hard at it, creative and kicked 3 goals)

3 - Hunt (his pace was a real concern for the opposition all day - a very damaging player today)

2 - Jetta (rock solid all day)

1 - Viney (a little quiet early but came to life)

I could have found a stack more players for the votes but that's been the theme in the majority of our games this season.  It's a good problem to have.  As always, the coaches votes will be interesting.

Apologies to Bugg, Wagner, Vince, Oliver, Garlett, Petracca, Pedersen & a few others.

6 - Gawn ( played as if he owned the field )

5 - Jones ( 4 quarters of pure leader )

4 - Bugg - ( I personally haven't been a huge fan previously but he convinced me against GC )

3 - Jetta ( great application and endeavour )

2 - Harmes ( seems to possess the complete skill pack )

1 - Hunt ( his tentative and mistake-prone approach in previous games was replaced with pure excitement )

6 Gawn (another special performance)

5 Viney (started the third term onslaught, thank christ his concussion seemed minor)

4 Vince (a rock down back and the Suns showed him no respect at times with his kicking).

3 Jones (in the old days, this game would have got him six votes)

2 Wagner (he is such a wise head down back and that tackle on Ablett ... Stringer awaits)

1 Hunt (just gets the nod ahead of Bugg. Will find it harder next week though)

Note: Harmes's first quarter was the worst 14-disposal quarter I've seen. He was very efficient from then on and got his rewards on the scoreboard.

6 Tommy Bugg.. what a great pickup from the giants. Tackles like a vice grip. Will bleed for success.

5 Max Gawn... big Maxy !!! dominated. His goalkicking needs work !!

4 Jack Viney... just like his dad. A brutal inside mid.

3 James Harmes... getting better. a young warrior

2 Nathan Jones... leads by example. Tough and skilled.

1 Nev Jetta ... tough as nails. Goes hard. If only he was a shade quicker.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
