Terrific video and thanks for the chance to relive the highlights of a great Sunday evening's entertainment. To me last weekend's match even eclipsed beating the Pies the previous week.

Does anyone else look at the conversion rate and worry? how long can we keep up that 66%+ accuracy?

Amazing stuff really. Jeffy, Kent... and Watts who pretty soon will be regarded as one of the top handful of shots on goal in the league. Something most of us have known a long time.

For me, Watts set up the win with his two early goals.

Again, he used to do this once or twice a season, now he's doing it 3 out of 4 games, for mine he's the 3rd tall in the All Australian team right at this moment.

While we have some of the goals from tight angles and around the 50m mark I reckon compared to last year we are kicking them from a lot closer to goal. That should improve accuracy as well as the fact that we are scoring so freely in the past 3 weeks that there is possibly less pressure on the goal kicker.

In any case don't worry , be happy :)

One thing I love about this video is that it goes for nearly 10 minutes, it never seems to end, made me wonder if they threw a few goals in from lasts years Richmond game for good measure!

The new game style along with the new rules is helping that too. a lot more goals are being scored by going over the top of the defense and e.g. Bugg on Sunday night or basically all of Jeffy's goals ever.

Twenty very watchable goals without Hogan. Who would have thought that at the beginning of the year?

Take that a step further and twenty goals without any from Hogan, Pedo, Benken, and Jones or Viney. Who would've thought that at the beginning of the game?

20 goals 9 points and of those points, 2 touched on the goal line, 2 hit the post and 2 gimmes missed by the hulk. this sort of kicking accuracy is very un melbourne

I'm loving the partnership forming between Garlett and Kent.  They just keep giving each other goals.  Garlett in particular gave away as many as he kicked.  Watts had three score involvements to go with his three goals as well.  So nice to see our forward line functioning so well.

Jeffys checkside goal will cause movement in the pantaloons....

Jeffy G is right up there with our other great Jeffy in Farmer. Garlett is just so bloody exciting whenever the ball is within 30 mtrs of him. One of our best ever trades.

Amazing how he can check side a ball through he middle but struggles with the set shots in easier positions in front of goal.

He is only 26, another 3.5 years for 100 games for us.

He really should snap everything within 30 of goal and not directly in front. Outside 40 he's pretty cooked anyway!

Should've nailed the snap he got at the Punt road end from a free kick. Didn't go back far enough from the mark and therefore didn't run out far enough to bend it around.

He's such a nice field kick and so dangerous running forward, I'm still not sure we've got the best of him, last year the supply wasn't there full stop, this year it's just early days in a new set up. He hasn't reunited his partnership with Brayshaw just yet on the long bomb over the top. We've given him too many aerial contests and I'm not sure he's found the best relationship with our talls yet either. Plus I reckon there's a few set up and coaching tips to really maximise his talent. Probably a strength of Roos so far though has been to take the best attributes of players and not focus on the negatives too much.

I'm excited Kent gets to work with Garlett as well. He can learn the tricks from a natural. That ability of stalking your prey to tackle with a burst of speed that Garlett  can do could be a real weapon for Kent. Similarly how to efficiently find space to snap cleanly. Plus they can combine like they did for a Kent goal.

Know what the hardest part about watching our new game style is?

my erection..

I normally delete posts like this, but I'd like this one to stay as an example.  Not picking on you particularly PG - this has been a gripe of mine for some time.

This is a part of the code of conduct applicable to Demonland, but also applicable in general life: people do not want to know about the state of your erection.  Ever.

It honestly surprises me that people think this is an okay thing to say on a public forum, to strangers.  I must have different social standards to others.

By the way, if I ever have that Randy Marsh pic appear on my screen at work again, the poster responsible will receive a life ban, no ifs or buts.

Sorry to be a grinch in an otherwise great thread.

Cheers

Impossible to watch without a big smile on the face. These guys are loving their footy at the moment, and they're loving playing for each other. In fact there's just a lotta love goin 'round.

He could play for at least another seven.

The way he looks at the moment it does doesn't it. He is just so natural and he is just an excitement machine.

Yes Garlett will still be terrorizing teams when he is 30+

And that boy Vince looks like hes going to remain a gun well into 30's

Ah Nasher. Normally I agree with a lot of what you say, but on this I just can't.

This is the internet, where dicks live. I know this isn't 4chan, but still, internet is internet.

Embrace it my friend.
