Please don't play Viney as tagger on Steven. Put someone else on him. We need Viney leading the attack.

I think we'll be too hard and hungry for the Saints either way.

We're riding a wave at the moment and I think we're irresistible at the contest.

We're playing really inspired football and our young players are hungry for more.

I don't know why they do this but the AFL generally issues an injury list on Tuesday afternoons which usually turns out wrong. Here's the Saints' injury list - it looks pretty healthy

Leigh Montagna (hamstring) Expected return TBC

Nick O'Kearney (arm) Test

Brenton Payne (shin) Test

Nick Riewoldt (ankle) Expected return TBC

Dylan Roberton (knee) Expected return TBC

Source: The injury list: round six

I wouldn't bother with the one they put out for Melbourne - better to wait for the inaccurate one the club puts out on Wednesday night or Thursday.

WJ I am surprised you even look at these lists they have been  rubbish for as long as I can remember.

Look at the game against the Tigers everyone knew Deledio would be very unlikely to play.

Tigers were all positive till game day then he comes out.

The  lists are BS.

I don't think they're BS, I just think that they reflect the inaccuracies and vagaries of injuries and recovery. Every Tuesday they put down a marker and call it an "injury list" - but it's a moveable feast.

Interesting though most 1st gamers get told mid week as it gives them that couple of days to organize family tickets and more direct focus on the game and potential opponent's.

Moveable yes but a feast it ain't

The details are shown to try and confuse other teams but they have little to do with the actual.

Looking forward to seeing Petracca debut. Still think Oliver and Matt Jones will also come in as we will need fresh runners.

Not sure who goes out.

Now I reckon only Oliver will join Petracca. Brayshaw is one likely out but the other ..... no idea unless there is an as yet undisclosed injury.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
