This makes it so much better for me: CP5, Weed, Vince, Garlett, VDB, ANB, Billy, Trengove, 2 Kings and even ( Newton, Michie, Grimes and Garland for depth ).

It looked like a lot of our tall forwards were 'let off the leash' and were able to move up an around the ground; with Hogan, Watts, Frost and Pederson all getting marks and possessions up the ground.  The fact they were more mobile gave us a much more unpredictable elements to our gameplan.

Was very impressed by Frost today - was reminding me of Mark Blicavs.  We tend to forget how few games Frost has played; still very much learning the craft.

Whatever I say.....I said he worked his hardest. Best game to date. I think he was more motivated today like the rest of the team. I think he plyed very well in the seconds last week hence his selection. Maybe you think it was wrong to imply he hasnt been playing his best...... But I dont hink his performance against essenodn was his best.

Frost surprised me at how comfortable he was around the ball. I've only seen him as a more awkward conventional big. As for Hogan, I think he needs to lead up like that every game. He can dominate more that way, avoid double teaming. I think when he's deep too much is when he gets the most frustrated like against Essendon. It reminded me of his game against the Dogs last year where he had 21 posessions and 3 goals. If they have the tanks, bigs are good to kick to all over the ground, Richo was a great winger in his final days with Richmond

There was so much to like about today. Firstly, I'm definitely a WTF are those selections culprit and I'm totally happy to have got it wrong.

A few general thoughts:

• the chemistry is sensational and there's a real sense on field of these guys playing for each other. They will all come through the age brackets around the same time and in a few years that will play out very nicely for us.
• I think we won the BenKen/Howe trade. LOL Jeremy
• Do you think Treloar regrets not expanding the job search beyond Collingwood and Richmond?
• Freeing Hogan up to go back or chase kicks through the centre square, has worked wonders for him. Truly his best position and he will be Carey-esqe. He'd also be mental to go to Freo next year, let alone the year after.
• Speaking of best positions, why have we been facking around with Jack Watts for so long playing anywhere other than as a running, marking forward?
• I didn't think Bugg did a lot, but then saw 29 touches and 9 tackles. He's a bit rough around the edges but good on him
• Hunt certainly didn't look out of place
• Wagner is so composed - wonderful.
• Dom Tyson is getting back to his best, so too bad haters
• Lumumba is amazing when he lowers his eyes. Why has he been bombing it for 2 years??
• Dunn and McDonald were really, really excellent today. Dunn's bullet passes were sensational and McDonald's defensive work was first class. Garland and Grimes are done.
• Brayshaw is underdone and makes way for Garlett
• Frost played his best game for us and brought a huge amount to the table. Just needs to kick goals.

A bloke today who would have felt very satisfied would be Kennedy. How solid was his game. Played his guts out and he showed it.

Tough and uncompromising and looked so happy at the finish. A real teammate.

What I meant was that I don't think the threat of playing in the twos has anything to do with it. He might not be quite good enough to be automatic first 22, but he works his testes off. I don't think he played hard because he'd got a rocket or anything. That's the distinction I was drawing.

Perhaps. Today was the first time this season he troubled the scoreboard though. I think they have worked out the forward structure better.
