Joe Daniher can be a problem,I live in fear of him kicking a bag.Need a quick big bloke on him.

Frost comes to mind but no backline experience this year.Who do you recon will get him?

You know what, I don't mind that idea. Give Frost a bit of a test. We can always move Tommy to him if it doesn't work, but Frost was recruited as a backman. I'd like to see him tested. They won't do this though. They'll play him at CHF.

We will smash these pretenders off the park.

We will need to win by a healthy margin to catapult past the Dogs and the Swans to the top of the ladder. (Maybe then and only then will some of the football commentators have to concede that maybe just maybe we might finish the year higher than the fourteenth position that most of them predicted!)

Wonder if Jack Viney can force himself into the Team of the Week this week?

It's ok. I've got a plan for Daniher. He's on my ultimate footy bench. Time for him to start. His chances of having a good game against us will consequently plummet.

Can't wait to see the boys this Saturday- haven't been to a game since 2013 as I've been in WA recovering from major leg injuries. It'll be be so great to finally be able to see our new young team give this mob an absolute pasting!! I sat through the debacle in '13, it's about time we got a little bit of payback!

On another note, does anyone know if the ticket booths at the G are open today- I need to reserve a seat where I don't have to walk up and down too many steps as that is  still a bit difficult for me to do!

Our best chance at a shellacking in a long, long time. I hope we pulverise them to really send a message, and get up by at least 10 goals.

Buy online? You can then print out your ticket, or get a code on your phone to scan at the gates.

Hope you're on the road to full recovery.

We haven't annihilated another Victorian team for half a decade. 12 goals and change. I also had a terrible dream about Viney's jaw. Just when you think you've shaken MFCSS it buries deeper down into your psyche. Go Dees!

we havent won 2 in a row for 5 years (in two consecutive calendar weeks in the AFL)

what a disgusting record.  we need to win this and I hope its by over 100 pts.

i would love to wipe the smile of Sheedys face and see the biggish crowd of bombers fans after that 'stand up the dons' walk, crying into their lattes

The closer we get the more I think we may well go in with no changes. Aside from Petracca and Trenners no one seemed to play extremely well in the intraclub match simulation, I heard on Fox Footy that they are likely to give Brayshaw a run in the VFL, and from the sounds of it OMac might well get up for the game on Saturday.

While I would like to see our best 22 played I think it's a good thing from Roos/Goodwin/match committee to back the same boys in to get the job done again.

Hopefully at the VFL there'll be several outstanding performances that force others to perform in the seniors. Casey will be looking very good this week; Brayshaw, Lumumba, Dunn, Trengove, Petracca etc, the first few in particular you'd expect to get full match time.

Shows how far we have come, when we can win a game and than say we don't have to rush the players mentioned above into the team and let them force their way in.

Happy with 3-4 goal win and the players don't play the game before heading out there.

I don't think we're at the stage yet when we're handing out 10-12 goal beltings. Those days will come eventually.

I feel the same way, although I do understand those who won't be happy with that.  I don't think we are far enough down the track yet that we can thrash teams, even those like Carlton, but another good display of football and a win with no injuries will do me very nicely.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
