If even Shakespeare himself  were alive today he could not invent nor write such a toxic tragedy.

Field day for ASADA here:

Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Fillet of a fenny snake,
    In the caldron boil and bake;
    Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
    Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
    Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
    Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
    For a charm of powerful trouble,
    Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       3 WITCH.  Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf;
    Witches' mummy; maw and gulf
    Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark;
    Root of hemlock digg'd i the dark;
    Liver of blaspheming Jew;
    Gall of goat, and slips of yew
    Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;
    Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
    Finger of birth-strangled babe
    Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,—
    Make the gruel thick and slab:
    Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
    For the ingrediants of our caldron.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Cool it with a baboon's blood,
    Then the charm is firm and good.

Hird is quite right.  Those players had no reason to lie and say they had no injections because they knew the injections were perfectly kosher.  Does beg the question - why they didn't take the injections then.

Makes sense in a parallel universe where you prove the opposite of what you thought you were proving and don't notice that you have done so.

Finally someone in AFL land who gets it.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/essendon/essendon-doesnt-deserve-to-play-on-anzac-day-says-dennis-cometti/news-story/edde9e67cd1565ba50afb3a003df759c

In short, Dennis Commetti saying the dons shouldn't even be playing this year, let alone playing on ANZAC day!

About time someone spoke out. Just wait for all the apologists to start up about how they are hard done by and Dennis is the devil incarnate!

Always did like that bloke.

Denis Cometti a universally liked and respected commentator speaks out:  http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/essendon-doesnt-deserve-to-play-on-anzac-day-says-dennis-cometti/news-story/edde9e67cd1565ba50afb3a003df759c

From the article.

-Essendon has not earned the right to play on Anzac Day this season

-the Bombers should have been ruled out of the season altogether after 34 past and present players were banned for 12 months

-“But I can’t help thinking somehow this year the Bombers should have been sidelined for the greater good.

-“The club might cry double jeopardy but I find it odd no contingency plan ever saw the light of day.”

Well said Denis!

I wonder how many other commentators would speak up if they weren't beholden to the AFL and its sycophants!!

There is no reason why the AFL can't schedule another game from that weekend on ANZAC Day.  Of course they won't.

Interesting from my view that I have not seen anyone else in the media say this which  IMO should have always been an option.

I guess if you take out the EFC loving scribes and those that are scared of the AFL it does not leave many to voice this option.

I think Dennis retiring at the end of the year may have something to do with it too. He is too popular for the AFL to move on (in terms of silently remove from the media landscape) and he has no need for his accreditation as of the end of the season. It would not surprise me if he gets a quiet little word in his ear about repeating the comments though.

But if he's correct in what he said, he just did a service to the game telling us that there's a drug cheat still playing.

We need to find out who he is and slap on some sanctions.

Presumably in another club or he wouldn't have said it? (Though what he said made no real sense anyway.)

(Where is he supposed to have said this?)

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

    Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

    How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

    A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
