I wonder if any of the delusionals have been sighted in South Holland scouting for digs  ???

I wish them all the pain in the world. I wish their drug cheating club would fold, and fade into history, but we can clearly see that the afl has plans for them to return to the top asap. You know, big crowds are good for business and all that. Dill gets a nice bonus when crowds are up.

Every single essedon supporter I have ever met, turns into an arrogant pig as soon as footy is mentioned. Even seemingly nice folk. Its in their blood, like a virus.

If you want to avoid a snapshot of the delusions of grandeur and persecution that are perpetuated by Essendon supporter don't  go to BF in particular the forum in Essendon section that has the "Opposition Supporters Carded"

It reminds me of Steely Dan's Third Album Title.

Its been the same all along felix.

If you think of something good, and say it loud enough, often enough, then it just might become the truth. And we all know thats what jimmy turd has been wanting all along.

Perhaps someone could give this advice to the Essondon players.

It would perhaps be appropriate instruction to a player perhaps no longer with the club who has perhaps signed with another club.

Dear former Essendon Player

It is time to accept that you have been poorly advised in some instances, When you took up the trade of football player you became a professional footballer and were given advice not to partake in many practices gambling, social media, alchohol, etc. You were particularly advised not to take any medication or drug regime without confirming its legality. You may have been advised that you are responsible for your actions.

You may have been mislead by or misinterpreted me advice but you are still responsible for your own actions.

Now is the time to say Sorry.. Try saying that you are sorry you accepted the assurances of the club of the program you undertook involving drugs. Sorry that this program was not as assured as all the other advice they give you. Sorry that in following the coach and support staff, doing whatever it takes, you strayed into some areas that have now been the centre of forensic examination and prolonged legal processes to arrive at the position You are now in.

You are perceived as having been participating in illegal action and you regret that this has not only affected you personally but has the co-committant impact on all people involved in sports. You are sorry for any pain and confusion  caused by your actions, but in recognising your own sorrow are prepared to accept the circumstances and move on, applying your own determination  and the aspects that have allowed you to reach the levels you have to continue personal training  in  order to return a wiser and better player and person.

The resilience that has been recognised in the past few years will make you  a stronger person and you will work even harder to reassure yourself and everyone else of your abilities. Urge everyone to take care in accepting advice but once they have accept that, there comes responsibility with action. You are sorry that it has taken this unfortunate occurrence to re-emphasis that lesson.

Can anyone who trawls non-EFC and Demons forums comment on how the saga is viewed by those supporters?

With outrage and disgust, a certain amount of relief that they got caught, some schadenfreude, and contempt for the AwFuL.

I find it amazing , all but, that any EFC supporter could be contemptuous of the AwFuL . Theyve bent over back and sideways to accommodate the drug cheats. Had it been us there'd be a new team , the Tassie Devils  in our place by now.

It's quite amazing how myoptic the typical Bomber is.

Yes have I have no idea if it is a real mathematic concept but it illustrates the type of twisted logic EFC supporter (whom post on BF) have. I guess I could have used Fuzzy Logic also but it's sometimes refreshing to be a little obscure with your posts.

Thanks WJ.

Is it correct to conclude that Chip LG's comment: "The (appeal) case before the Swiss Federal Supreme Court pits Australian contractual law against a guiding principle of the World Anti-Doping Code. The case will turn on a fine legal point; whether the changes to the 2015 AFL anti-doping code were procedural or substantial."  means that the appeal will be against the conclusions in para 114, precedents notwithstanding?

Yes, that's clear. However, because the AFL has previously accepted the overriding jurisdiction of the WADA Code and the right to appeal to CAS, the Swiss would at best from the appelants' point of view interpret the AFL anti-doping code changes as referring to appeals from AFL Tribunal decisions to the AFL Anti-Doping Appeals Tribunal and not to appeals that go direct to CAS. In other words, it's an argument that is unlikely to gain much support from the Swiss Court and nor should it.

Funny thing OD is they keep saying that but have no idea was to what they actually used.

IMO the false declarations to ASADA about the injection program says it all.

Essendon players need to realise they were fooled into taking drugs and they didn't even seem to ask or know what it was they were taking. They were lazy and have to pay for it. The smart things is to forget the swiss adventure and call slater and Gordon and sue the crap out of the Essendon football club for damages, loss of earnings, hardship, pain and suffering, mental anguish, etc. etc. etc.  The reason I suggest this is that Essendon and their lawyers will probably continue to fight this all the way up to the high court so any settlement or payment may not happen in these players lifetimes, but at least they will leave something for their kids, that is if any of them can have kids still.

The problem now for the players is that as more evidence comes to light revealing their duplicity in the saga, the clearer it becomes that key parties are likely withholding smoking-gun evidence as an insurance policy. Essendon won't touch Dank because they know he would tear EFC and Hird's narrative to shreds if he were pushed.

Similarly, the players are probably scared to go after Essendon knowing how well-connected the club is to senior media figures who drive public opinion. Within days all kinds of dirt would start being flung to any player who dared turn against the cult; just look at the appalling campaigns against Carlisle and Ryder.

Everyone's walking on eggshells after 4 years of lies, mistruths and outright deceit. The likely truth is that all were complicit in the illegality of the program and "being duped" simply became the convenient narrative once they got caught. As more evidence has come to light, the clearer it's become just how far from innocent these players are.

And yet the players really hold the power here. Efc know it. AFL know it. The reality is the players have been duped and are complicit in their own stupidity. Until they twig and turn on the club they are cannon fodder. Do I care...not really... Am just saying !

Don't forget how they all went at Kyle Riemers when it first came out.

Can't actually believe no one has interviewed him again since.

Beggars belief really... And yet not surprising :(

Obviously lies and more lies

''Players got forms in front of the doctors - Dr Bruce Reid who has been at the club for 30 years, coaches - and everyone knew that this had been ticked off. The doctor had told us it was fine, we trust [him] with everything, and James Hird, who we trust, we signed it, then that would give them consent [for us] to be able to have these tablets.''

McVeigh added: ''Kyle Reimers has come out and said some things that are untrue. He is a disgruntled player, was delisted from the football club, very rarely turned up for pre-season training in any sort of form that resembled a professional footballer.

''It wasn't a waiver, it was a consent form. It was clearly stated to us what we were taking. If you didn't know, you must have been asleep in the meeting. You know what, Kyle probably was.''

It will be interesting to observe just what effect all this crap, and duplicity on the part of the AFL will have on attendances this season.

One can bet that if attendances are down, and surely they will be for EFC matches (unless 'neutrals' go along just to boo and jeer), that Gil will spin some tale justifying it all. Or maybe they will just fudge the figures.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
