Just got a tweet back from Brett Anderson who was very emphatic about Oliver going to Dee's with first pick. Looks like we can take that one to the bank

Ohh the guy who emphatically stated no less than a week ago that Curnow would be our first picked, that guy?

We could very well end up selecting Oliver but Brett Anderson would have just as much clue as you or I.

I wouldn't take it to a Building Society...

i recall him saying that we should take curnow not that we will. It was his opinion. He's a Dee's supporter so may know something. Was just saying how certain his response was

I don't mind that, as its his way of acknowledging his woeful performance in 2015.

That's the way I read it, almost like an apology, sorry about that, i'll do better

I love Gawny at the end, gave me goosebumps. Geez I'd love to see Trenners get back on the park. That would be a must see game IMO.

Is there any reason to believe it won't be round 1, 2016?

That's who he wanted, he has clarified that.

Trenners on the ground ( picked ) would be a sight

Heard Worsfold interviewed just now...sound very much like they will take a tall at 4 or 5. Could mean Weidman will be gone by 7.

You can't choose Oliver in this competition to guess who Melbourne will draft.

well the obvious answer should be callum mills as our first pick  (they don't say successful)

oliver has to come under "others" and that only has 5.2%

TRENNERS PETRACCA AND OLIVER take Center quare round 1 2016 would be a sight

No Nathan Jones or Bernie Vince?

i expect Petracca to play mostly as a forward next year, Trenners i very much see as an inside mid and Oliver may not have the tank to play a whole lot of midfield minutes just yet

which could mean we end up with parish AND oliver

Can't watch, briefs on what he says would be appreciated.

Summary of Goodwin's comments:

-Will pick best available at 3 & 7.

-There are 5-6 players at 3 they are interested in.

-Won't reach for a tall player will pick best player at 7. Satisfied with current tall stocks due to drafting King, McDonald & Frost in recent years.

-Have not put any strategy into what other teams will pick, they will pick best available at 3 & see who falls through to 7

-Had no player in mind when setting up picks 3 & 7 as they want to get as much top end draft talent while they can.

-Reiterated that if a tall is available they won't reach for the tall player they will draft strictly best available talent.

Worshfold was also a massive wrap for Parish, so I highly doubt he will last to pick 7.

Worsefold wants Ollie so his trying to talk like he wants every player except Ollie in hope that we pass. They will leave one of Parish Weidermann or Francis for us to swoop on.

Whoever we don't take at 3 out of Parish and Oliver will go at 4 to the Bombers. They'll then take Francis.

So our options around 7 will be Weid, Ah Chee, Curnow and Milera. Sounds like the club will pursue a midfielder as they can be better judged from raw talent than talls.

This is correct, Worsfold is on the record sayin Clayton Oliver or bust and they will refuse to use the draft picks on anyone else

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
