Was mentioned on the AFL website that we are one of the clubs interested in Josh Walker.

I would grab him for sure. A massive up grade on Dawes and could play full forward while Hogan goes to CHF or vice versa.

Watched him closely this year. Can go missing, but he's super competative and a great mark. Has improved a lot over the last two years and is very handy in the ruck.

Should be able to get him reasonably cheap, so i'm all for recruiting Josh.

Has been mentioned here a few times now.

Only 22years old, so he would fit our age profile well.

I want him but don't want to give up our first or second round pick.

How much better than Pedersen would he be?

And what would the Cats demand for him?

Yes, was a fan when he was playing Tac. Was surprised he fell through to the rookie draft. Can take a grab, kicking is an issue but would back him to improve this with some continuity.

Has been offered up as part of Hendo deal with Carlton. Given Carlton's list I'm sure Walker would be given plenty of opportunities, more than he would get at the Dees.

Is this a joke?

Josh Walker. The Josh Walker who averages 8 disposals, 3 marks and 1 goal a game and has the agility of the QE2?

I've now heard it all.

This year he's averaged (approx) 10 touches, 4 marks, 4 hitouts, 1.5 tackles and better then a goal a game. As compared to Dawes 12 touches, 4 marks, 3 hitouts, 1.5 tackles and less then a goal a game.

Walker's younger, will cost less as far as salary goes and has much higher scope for improvement. Reckon he'd be the perfect foil for Hogan.

Yeah. But Dawes has had a terrible year. I don't really want to replace him with another player with the same level of output.

Especially if we have to give up something to get him.

Kicked 3 in the Semi Final last year and 5 in a match this year and he's young.

Not sure why so many aren't keen? Dawes can't ruck and Pedersen is nearly 30. We need someone else in this role.

A bag of 3 and 5, let's get him!

(Blease kicked 5 once)

22?

Thought he was in his 40s.

Gotta say, without sounding shallow and all, I always assumed he was a mature-age recruit.

Some guys just don't get the genes.

I reckon Machsy would be able to provide a bit of insight.

from my personal opinion I have always been impressed when I've seen him play, but Geelong's system/game style often can create a scenario where players look quite a lot better than they actually are.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
