Yeah absolutely identical. Clark left us as a FA after many years of kicking big bags of goals, helping us to 2 flags and we got band 1 compo when he left.

at least Clark had the pretense of 'doctor's advice'

Franklin just straight up took the cash

We'll see how magnanimous you are when Hogan does it to us

Was rushed to hospital after having a seizure.

Geez you guys are bloody flogs sometimes. Real tough bashing guys with illness, be proud.

Reported as having nothing to do with the earlier mentioned mental illness.

Which has what exactly to do with what I said?

I wouldn't classify epilepsy as a mental health issue unless I was a Dr from the 19th Century in which case i would apply leeches to his forehead and prescribe a strong course of Opium.

Epilepsy is purely a physical problem(yes I know it affects the brain but not the mind per se).

The question is why does he get the seizures?

Longmire is spinning this a tad.

hate it when stated he is getting the best of help, why doesnt everybody get the best of help, ffs he is just a footy player and being paid a truck load wether he is good or bad at his job on the day,we live in a sad unequal world

Yes the world is unfair. If you have private health insurance and access you can get the best of care. If you are an ordinary Australian without it you'll get adequate care in the public system. If you are a Syrian refugee you will be happy with shelter, food and water. Buddy has made the most of his physical talents, I don't begrudge him good care.

Keep fighting Barney.

There are moments of light in life that make it all worthwhile.

Sometimes everything seems futile and worthless but it is the struggle that counts.

Didn't know your carried such pearls of wisdom Biff.

Herald Sun is reporting Buddy rushed to hospital last Friday following a seizure.

Could the issue be seizure-related (epilepsy, perhaps?) and not depression? I realise seizures and depression are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

He does suffer mild epilepsy it was reported... but it was also reported that there is no link between the epilepsy and the mentalk illness that Buddy is suffering.

Lance Franklin is an amazing player.

I wish him a speedy recovery. Regardless of the attempts here to smear him with rumour, he deserves to have the space and privacy to work through any mental health issues associated with his 'pre-existing scenario'.

If he was your father, brother or son, how would you want him treated? That should be your standard.

Some outright bizarre comments on here.

I wish him all the best. His health is 1st priority with footy a daylight second. Hope he recovers well and gets back to playing that exciting footy i love watching.

Is this a serious post? Following you earlier post re the black dog (http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/39087-buddys-mental-health-issue/?p=1154493) I'm seriously having trouble understanding where you are coming from.

Mental Illness doesn't discriminate. I work in the field and feel the utmost respect for Lances's public admission.

People raging about the contract I could generally accept, however through working in the field I cannot accept this mocking behaviour.

I'll repeat mental illness does not discriminate. I feel sympathy for Lance and wish him all the strength in the present and future.

I hope he connects with the important people in his life and feels better.

All the best Lance.

Jordan Lewis said he's never heard about this and he's shocked.

Yet the Swans knew about it when they signed him?

Forgive me if I'm my usual cynical self.

I'm amazed at the lack of empathy on here.

Smacks of petty jealously or maybe just ignorance.

Get well soon buddy. I wouldn't wish mental illness on anyone.

Barney is making a point about the health system.Public v Private or whether there should even be a difference in care provided to people who have the same illness.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
