The Keith "Bluey" Truscott Memorial Trophy - 2015

Viney, Vince, McDonald, Hogan, Jones.

There are no 'accidents' in that top 5. All five are the real deal and would be in the mix for a top-5 finish at any club.

Of course, the other four need to be ready to lift their game next year if they want to keep in front of Jones, once his head is screwed back on straight.

Colin Garland haters- take note

Well done to all the winners, especially Viney. Kid gives his all and has had a tremendous season despite his injury.

I hope he gets to play 100 games, I love the way he plays. If he ever has sons I hope they play for us.

Garland 7th is a genuine surprise. Never would've predicted him to finish ahead of Garlett. Or Gawn for that matter. Clearly he is largely playing his role to instruction.

Salem is a jet. Big chance to go top five next year.

Was not expecting Watts at 18th. Seriously, below Lumumba? Below Salem? Did the club poll his games in the past week?

It's great that the club has stopped mollycoddling this guy. Finally.

A side note about the players who didn't make the top 10. The next 5 are

Brayshaw, Gawn, Tyson, Vandenberg and Salem.

You'd think only another blight of injury could stop all five from moving into the top 10 next season. Touch wood.

With Viney, McDonald and Hogan likely to stay up there, that would make it an incredibly young top-10.

Great work reporters - thanks!. Couldn't get there this year so this thread was fun to read after I dragged myself away from the teev, from a pleasant night of watching the Hawks succumb and, in the ad breaks, seeing the Storm get up and the Aussies knock it around the park against the Poms. Well done Bernie (my vote along with the majority of DLanders) and the other 300-ers, Jack, Tom, Jesse and Nathan, and also the '200 club' (nice to see Jeffy G there).

Also nice to see the Dawks get rolled. Hope the Doggies get up tomorrow and then pull off an upset against Hawthorn the next week! :)

Christian: 10 games for 113 = 260 = 6th this year

Maxy: 13 games for 134 = 237 = 8th this year (with CS at 6th)

I love Bernie, well done.

Jack Viney 2nd by a point in a broken leg year lol, what a tenacious [censored].

A lot more class and footballing ability in this top 5 than previous years.

Will look even better when Salem plays a full year (will win the odd Bluey) and Brayshaw, Petracca and vandenBerg get more experience.

Can't believe Lumumba finished higher than Watts or even Jack Grimes. Seriously.

Bit surprised to see Angus finish behind Judy, Howe and Dumm, though he had a better year than any of these three

Gus faded badly. He really should have been rested a couple of times through the year. By the end he was getting ten touches a game.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
