Watt's going on?

Watts is gone, spoke to Jackson and Rawlings in the room - he didn't ask to be dropped, they're putting him up for trade because his heart isn't in it/his last month has proven that.

Source is directly from peter Jackson and Rawlings mouth.. I was there with my Dad who knows them.

They just said they're gonna put Jack out there and see if they can get anything for him and that just his attitude towards playing for the Dees has been disappointing and that's why they essentially dropped him from the 2s as well- and saying how having Harmes, White, Viney, Stretch etc were just a better fit in the team clearly, and no chance of picking up Yarran because he's too much of a risk to pick up.

Seeing wattsy in the rooms though, he gets on well with everyone but maybe he might also want a fresh start elsewhere and is happy to go up for trade. If no one wants him maybe it will be a reality check and get him to work harder.

I know Peter Jackson and he wouldn't tell supporters this even if it was the truth. I say this was bs.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was traded.

nor I. Roos apparently favours this sort of idea ( trading a year out from FA ) .We've announced we're going to be very active ( not just active folks !! ) in the up and coming circus. Well, you have to give to get.

You know who we need to make a comeback right about now? The Riddler. That guy would just add so much to this thread.

Wow D-L, you certainly see a lot of what is not there. Sexist discussion?

If you want to be clearer in what you write, I suggest you don't use phrases like 'make a man of him' and expect people to read it in the way you have now tried to explain.

why, "make a man of him" has been used since the first I can remember. you see sue, I do think we are different, men & women. built differently, outwardly, inwardly, & in our brain mapping.

you seem to have a superior attitude to see your way is right, & the other at your discretion is inferior, as you would like to believe, that my way is the wrong way, according to your seemingly limited view.

only looking at how you perceive the words, maybe from your women's magazines attitudes, writings ??? that's right, "mere males" and all that, & all those cheating men are A**s-holes, not what about those cheating women are ??? no mention of them, by the women.

all men are to be feared, & certainly not trusted, & if single, looked on suspiciously, & with some scorn.

women like to take the high ground, mostly,,,, & take the victim position, & claim the right of any conflict, but often its them making the fight, & being the aggressor in many different methods, not just a physical hit.

although they do like to be able to physically hit out, but not be hit back ???

I've always believed it takes 2 to have an argument, & both are equally responsible for the outcome.

but men are disposable souls aren't they send them off to war to kill or be killed... but not so much the women... why is that. maybe women can end wars, by taking the front line themselves.

...... that would certainly cause wars to end, very quickly.

I think we've found the 'Veil of negativity'.

Jack Watts is the opposite of everything Simon Goodwin was as a player. I doubt Goody has any interest in keeping him at the club.

Yeah, some true [censored]

From all you personal conversations with Goodwin about type of player that he would like and style of football he wants to play.

A 196 cm athlete with good running capacity and skill execution, whilst his Desiree at times can be questionable another possible top 10 bnf finish beckons due to his 8-10 weeks of really solid form.

All true - but Natanui would have retreated back to his native WA within 4 years of being drafted - guaranteed.

hindsight maybe but imagine the compensation!

both WYL.

these are my experiences WYL, at home as a kid years back (my sister the bully)... & also recently moving from Melbourne to interstate, back to regional Vic.

it seems to me, that older women of today are less inclined to trust you (me), than the past older generation did, & they make assumptions & then judge on those, & spread malicious gossip amongst they're contacts, with no truth or understanding behind it. and their friends accept it as gospel.

they seem to hear (take) a sentence, not respond to its information, & make a million negative assumptions, then spread that carp to all their friends. not all, but most I've met recently.

when you take yourself away from your inner social network, you see a different side of community, a sometimes very judgmental & suspicious side of them (foreign to my experiences 30 yrs back).. I am experiencing that suspicion at the moment from a couple of people, & this can leave one feeling very negative & isolated.

........ thankfully I just rang 'my landlord/weekend neighbors',,, & nice new friends; to check in with them, after today receiving a real estate letter of inspection, & just after I've pruned the trees last week. they said all is good, & they will be down this weekend, & no problems. all's OK. phew!

I've been feeling very isolated because of one of they're friends who doesn't like me, & gives me disapproving glances all the time about town. on top of a couple of other things that happened, I've been extra depressed the last 2 weeks, & swung to feeling really negative.... the phone call I just made has just helped, a lot.

my sister WYL, caused me a lot of damage, very deep emotional damage, according to my now retired female former therapist... which I've been unable to recover from. even with decades of hard work & therapy.

I've learn't to function, just function. just exist. but socially is always a major hurdle... trust is totally fractured at an emotional level. so I'm still a single male, getting strange looks from people who don't understand, & don't care to try to.

& dirty looks from the girl who was head over heels attracted to me, now giving me terrible looks in my direction. I've done nothing, that seems to be the problem...

help me get out of here.....

Lol.. Goodwin has been Doing alot of mentoring and one on one work with Jack. I am pretty sure goody could fit him into his team if he is still here.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
