  1. Received membership renewal letters for the boys and I today and was disappointed to see that Cam 'Cam' Pederson is not an option for customising my card. Also of note, Jack Watts and a Tommy Bugg not available as options either.
  2. You can't deny how amazingly talented he is...
  3. http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-clubs-are-desperate-for-a-womens-team--heres-one-reason-why-20160408-go1vab.html Bastian EBA chief executive Jack Watts said companies in the insurance and finance industries in particular were interested in sponsoring women's sports, because women often made the household decisions in regards to their products. Many women's sports did not yet have the audience reach to justify potential sponsors' investments, although that was changing, he said. They're out of assets to sell," Watts said. Watts said clubs would not see a women's team
  4. Being discussed at length on the Match Preview forum and figured it deserved its own thread. Why has Jack been dropped? Is a unforeseen trade coming with a year to go on his contract? What would we get in return? Keep or trade? I have no idea why to be honest but I definitely felt he had done enough to keep it. Post your theories.
  5. I like Peter Ryan. He's a solid contributor. What are people's thoughts on the correlation between these stats and success? He mounts a good argument. There's no doubt that players gain confidence when they're continually selected to play at the highest level. As long as the feedback they are receiving each week is constructive, IMO it's only a matter of time before they respond. And that's usually a short amount of time. Exhibit A - Rohan Bail. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-29/stability-breeds-success AFTER Melbourne lost to the Sydney Swans in round six, the heat was again being applied
  6. The 2008 # 1 draft pick stepped up again in 2011 as he grew in confidence and strength, securing his first top ten best and fairest finish with the club. In what was still a development year for the youngster, Watts played every game and was tried in various roles around the ground and this should hold him in good stead for the future. With another pre season behind him, he will bulk up further and continue to make rapid progress towards becoming an elite AFL key position player. 7. Personally i want him on the half forward and that's where i want him to stay, way to big to be a midfielder.
  8. I read on Demonland somewhere (sorry cannot remember where) that Carlton mentioned Watts in a hypothetical with MFC and we said he is absolutely untouchable. It did however get me wondering as to what my Demonland brethren would be willing to trade him for. btw I am expecting responses ranging from the HF line of the All Australian team to a new bugle for the bugle boy but what the hey.

  10. May not deserve it's own thread, and probably has been posted somewhere else on here but here is a side of Jack Watts most of us probably haven't seen before and it gives us a good insight into what to expect on tonight's Footy Show players review: http://yfrog.com/mmf11tbj
