Next year what about a three word positive player analysis win or lose and start off on the right foot and it might just turn around.

It might not be easy but hey.....

No...much prefer the truth!

Well done again Joeboy, an positively accurate summation of the output of each player.

a bit disappointed in the criticism of Viney the guy is usually at the bottom of a pack shovelling the ball out TOWARDS our goals as best he can without a lot of support and usually under a lot of pressure from opposition players. His attack on the ball and tackling of opposition players is first class, he will get better with time.

I noticed Garlett a fair bit and thought he was one of our better players.

Agree. Garlett had 18 possessions, 6 tackles and 2 goals. Noticed a lot I would think. Joeboy didn't take my advice and go to Specsavers this week.

I was sat behind the goals and watching him closely, he just doesn't man up and always plays from behind.

Chris Mayne, is a running machine, that guy just does not stop presenting, I'd make a serious play for him just to set the example for our bunch of slackers.

I think you may have been a bit harsh on Watts. He was fourth for 1%'s and third for tackles in the side. He clearly did his share when he didn't have the ball, and that's one of his big weaknesses. Sadly did bugger all to win contested ball which is his other big weakness, but he did make my pick for play of the day with his one contested win. Brought the ball to ground against multiple opponents, controlled it, u-turned, ran to 50 and kicked a spectacular point.

Hogan - Great second half

Salem - Smooth as butter

Viney - Our best midfielder

Also disagree with Garlett. His best game for a month by far.

How can anyone be anything but positive about Vineys game today?

I am flabbergasted that you found a way to be negative on this.

Even Cross, "disappointingly our best". What the hell does that mean? Why disappointingly?

And people question how Roos could call supporters negative...

That would've been a ripping goal, so close. His other effort was a fair kick too!

How may of his handballs missed targets then resulted in goals.

He goes very hard at the contest which is great to see. But his skills need a lot of work.

Not as many as Vince, Garland, Dunn, Cross missed handball targets.

Probably, Disappointingly because at his age and the other players in he should not regularly be our best or top three.

Means others are not lifting and good Ol Crossy is still showing them how it is done.

Be that as it may, when only given three words how about using all three to laud the effort of that player rather than using it as further opportunity to lay in to the rest of the team.

It reveals an inherent negativity.

Re Viney, while he obviously has flaws, his performance was overall very positive. How about "head over ball" or "strong all day" or "so much heart".. I could go on.

It's his view. Want it different, do your own or don't read it.

I like it, I don't always agree but I don't go asking him to change.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
