Not sure if we give the young blokes more of a rest in Neal-Bullen, Stretch Harmes etc.. if so

I think, for this week at least, Stretch and Harmes are safe. JKH and ANB would be the logical players to miss, with possibly a Michie/Newton/Riley to replace them to give them a rest for the week.

I can't see Roos making 4 changes to a winning side.

No way Salem next week. Couple of the young ones looking tired so time to rotate them out. JKH has not made the most of his two weeks in.

Neither can I but the four mentioned were poor Jhk and ANB definately did not earn their spots.

JKH had a shocker, no doubt about that. He is clearly struggling at the moment and it wouldn't surprise to see him dropped.

ANB has plenty of upside but, after being the sub, you would think he might have a rest in the magoos as well.

We have a few who can replace their current output, such as Toumpas, Michie or Newton as well, so it would make sense to make 2 changes and stick with the rest.

Salem is going to play in the development league next week, if all goes to plan. He's absolutely no chance of playing against St.Kilda.

In. Riley, Newton

Out. JKH, ANB

JKH is a worry, if you're small and not fast then you need to be clean and creative, he was neither today. ANB had no impact as the sub so I'd give him a spell.

Yes he did but he attacked the game all be it turned it over a lot. We're not playing finals and have an easy draw, I'd like to see him get a run of games. Others have had their chances. He manages to find himself in space with the ball. Needs to work on awareness and disposal. Has potential.

I don't doubt his potential at all, and if he can show improvement then he can become a very handy player for us.

But he was poor today (I assume we are talking about JKH... ?) and, in light of a quiet few weeks, might miss the Saints game for one of the players I mentioned earlier.

It feels like yesterday that we played St.Kilda and here we are playing them again. Meanwhile, we played the Suns in Round 1 and won't be seeing them again for at least 8 months, and we haven't played Carlton in 15 months. Strange fixturing! Not that it really matters.

Salem back??

No way, been out for yonks with consecutive hammies. If he's ready, he can join Kent for a half in the VFL Dev league.

JKH and ANB for whichever of the VFL revolving door players are currently at the front of the queue. Grimes and Michie I guess. Wouldn't be averse to only one or neither of those changes. There definitely won't be four changes - Stretch and Harmes going OK for mine.

Yes, JKH. You're right he was poor. The names you've thrown up Michie/Newton/Riley all deserve another crack. We've got 8-9 games left?? I'd like Roos to try and get game time into those guys. Maybe say well play Michie/Riley/Newton for 4 games regardless of form, giving Stretch/ANB/JKH a rest then swap them back for the last couple. Maybe keep Stretch and rotate the others. Something along those lines.

Neal - Bullen was sub so he doesn't need a rest I would have thought. I'd be surprised if Salem and Kent were ready. Maybe Toumpas for Stretch.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
