North are making Geelong look very, very ordinary.

Both teams [censored] me. No surprise given their coaches and their relationship.

North have no idea and Geelong are finally on the slide.

The speed in which Ling defended Selwood's chicken wing tackle was breathtaking.

Bloody heartbreaking stuff at the end of that Adelaide match. Dangerfield in absolute tears along with many others. Classy silence from the crowd.

Really feel for Danger, he's in an absolutely horrible position right now as far as free agency goes.

Geelong falling apart and an unimaginable week with his teammates at Adelaide. Walking out on that now? Wow...

They have been through such a terrible time and could not have been prepared to play that match. They looked exhausted both physically and emotionally and the emotion was raw and heart wrenching. You can forget sometimes that many of them are basically kids and they've suffered a huge loss. It was very difficult to see them out there at the end of the match, seemingly alone.

When they were walking off the ground Camporeale was trying to get around to them to offer a word, but they are a devastated group of young men. Hopefully tonight, as difficult as it was, was a healing moment in their grief. They have a long way to go.

GWS 6 goals up on Saints at half time!

That and yesterdays game, shows what a ridiculous result the Saints vs Ess was last week.

We didn't take Ess seriously enough.

Saints bombing it into their forward line....surprise, surprise, it's not working for them...

I can see why this Josh Bruce bloke has kicked 38 goals

Has a ping every chance he gets and burns his team mates constantly

Hogan can burn teammates all day long if he'll kick 38 goals in 13 matches.

Oh dear, Brownlow race turned on its head?

EDIT: Oh, wait, the 7 commentators already saying it's perfectly fine! Forearm straight to the face in a marking contest is perfectly acceptable under new MRP guidelines!

Another dodgy little Sam Mitchell snipe, this time to Fyfe. Knee straight into the thigh, almost identical to his run-in with Taylor Walker a few weeks back. Of course, that was "an accident."

How many times does the same "accident" have to happen before the MRP catches on?

Saints kick 4 in a row after being about 40 points down. Great young team that doesn't drop their heads and throw in the towel.

Like how we fought back yesterday?

Meanwhile St Kilda finished the game having kicked 6 goals, 3 of which came in a 3 minute burst (i.e. 3 goals in just short of an entire game), in perfect conditions, against a side who hadn't won for a month and cruelled with injuries.

Sounds a lot like Melbourne, actually, and I guarantee you if that had been us with that performance you'd have lamented our terrible skills and inability to score.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
