I am relying on my faulty memory. I used to go to a lot of Sandy games when we were aligned with them. It still tells me I saw him playing for Sandy, sad that.

Harmes really impresses me. The 2 things that stand out are his contested marking and his quick movement of the ball. He does make the odd mistake because he's prepared to take the game on, but I can wear that. His game translates more to AFL level than that of Michie, Bail, M. Jones and Mckenzie. I'd love to see him upgraded asap, and given a chance to show what he can do.

I was really impressed with Tommy in the VFL game I watched him in. I didn't know who he was at the time so had to ask an oppo supporter who number ....was.

Melbourne was already in its current alignment with Casey by the time Tom McDonald was drafted.

He played most of his debut season in the VFL making his debut late that year, a few weeks after 186.

The confusion over Sandringham may well be due to the fact that he played an outstanding game at TBBO in about mid season that really opened many peoples' eyes as to his future possibilities as an AFL player. I agree that brother Oscar seems to be following the same course.

He's a Gippsland boy who spent last year in the SANFL and came back home this year. I would call him a good VFL footballer. He played well in a losing game a few weeks ago at Port Melbourne but doesn't get enough of the football for mine. Not sure if you're right about him being able to run all day but a solid AFL pre season could help. I'd have him as an outside possibility for a rookie spot at best.

Spent many a cold and wet miserable day there.

Yeah, hoping he gets a run soon. Had a few games last year of 30+ possessions in between injuries. Seems to be playing a bit of a different role this year around the packs but has very clean hands and looks confident.

I thought it was his best game for the season, he got himself to a lot of contests today through hard work running. He reminds me a lot of his brother with the way he reads the play so well. Right now what he needs to do is drastically build up his core strength as he still gets to easily pushed aside by players shorter than him. He's not ready for senior footy this year but one we can enjoy watching develop over the next couple of years

This is a player who excites me. I think of Tom with good kicking skills and that would be a very handy addition in the next couple of years. I like the way the list is balanced with frost to add to our talls which allows Oscar to develop where he should and not being thrown to the wolves.

Just finished watching the replay and few notes:

ANB was excellent in close. He made a lot of very good decisions and his close movement means he often finds a bit more space than he should. He executes really well. He reminds me of Lachie Neale a bit.

Tyson was the probably BOG. His class was evident and he just found ways to create space. You can tell he's used to a higher level as he had so much time. He was so, so clean with the footy.

I though Harmes was excellent. Probably the best game I've seen from him. He has great attributes (pace, strong overhead, reasonably good skills) but he really found a way to get involved in the game. He appeared to work hard defensively too, which is promising. He is a player that will do a few things a game that make you go "Woah, that's impressive", but this game he managed to get himself more involved and actually impact the result. Really good signs.

I'm impressed by White. He is a player who you don't feel should impress, especially with his weird running style, but he does a lot of things really well. He kicks it beautifully, is very strong overhead and is, surprisingly, a really sound defensive player. I don't know how, but he's always on the hammer of his opponent and spoils well with the body. I think I need to have a good look at him live, because there's something happening with him, but I don't know what it is. I think I'm confused about his pace, because he doesn't look like he should be quick, but I'd love to see whether that's right or not.

McDonald moves like his brother, but needs a lot more bulk. But there's a lot to like.

Seeing the footy at Casey is FAR better than the G. You can walk on the ground and listen to the coach and the line coaches, wander around at will and get up real close to the action.

And the Bacon Rolls are the best in Victoria. Coffee is garbage though.
