Disappointed if Brayshaw doesn't start at the "G"!

Not to mention unjust. I think it is an indication that he will be the sub. With a six-day break to the next game, that may be part of the management strategy for first-year players.

At the very least play it at the Pies ground on Monday.

Why? the last time I looked one of the teams is CASEY

It is their home game and guess what their home ground is out Casey.

The game is on Saturday so you can go and watch it.

Or is that too hard?

Jesus, take a chill pill OD. The VFL should have made this a Collingwood game and scheduled it for 12pm next Monday. Perfect given the dees game starts at 3:20pm. They'd get 2-3 thousand people to it, easy. Make it an annual event. I for one would have gone. Channel 7 could have also broadcast cover it.

Unless of course the VFL has no interest in promoting their comp.

What I need arrow is for people to get real.

Would you go to Collingwood for a 12pm game on QB Monday then somehow get to the main game before half time?

The only way this would work is if the Casey Pies game was played as a curtain raiser and we know that won't happen.

If we are keen on seeing our seconds play then this weekends plan seems the best to me.

It is on a separate day you can easily go to both.

I'm know this isn't the reason, but this year especially it would kind of undermine the Walk to the 'G and the Danners campaign, so perhaps it's a blessing in disguise.

Willis what are you talking about? Make it a maggies home game and it is 200 metre walk across a bridge and oval to their home ground. Sheesh, it's a 4-5 minute walk. the VFL game would finsih at 2:20 giving people an hour to mosey across to the g. Perfect. I'd love it.

Yes, i guess so. Unless you started the walk on Swan street at the close of the VFL game

I'm pretty sure Collingwood are also doing the Daniher walk, from the Westpac Centre, so yes, we could have had the game there, and then supporters from both clubs walking over.

Then again, given what those Magpie thugs did to Jonesy's old man a few years ago, it's probably best to separate the supporter groups.:mad:

Thanks for your efforts KC, legend!

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on Hunt if you have a chance? Plenty of posters talk of him not coming on, but he's been injured almost permanently and I had high hopes so hoping his progression is obvious week to week!

    CONSISTENCY by The Oracle

"I think we have got a team that can win a premiership, and if we get in this year, I don't think there is a team that is going to want to play us. This year is not a write-off, I don't concede that. Not at all." — Collingwood President Jeff Browne. I love this sort of optimism from the Magpie President after his club’s eleven goal defeat at the hands of the fast rising Hawks. It’s consistent with the fighting spirit of the club that won last year’s flag.  I only wish I could say the s

    FEARS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne’s worst fears about the absence of Max Gawn were realised when it received a shellacking from Fremantle’s ruckmen Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson who dominated the hit out tally in their game at Optus Stadium on Sunday by a massive 47 to 19. As a result, the 50-point deficit at the end of the game proved to be a loss that was long foreseen that was two years in the making and demonstrated a complete lack of hindsight and planning from the club. To add insult to injury, Jackson was a D

    RAIN CHECK by Whispering Jack

The Frankston Dolphins broke a run of six straight losses against their neighbours, the Casey Demons and kept their hopes for a long-awaited return to the VFL finals alive with a 27 point victory over at Kinetic Stadium. Casey was welcomed to the Peninsula by grey skies, heavy rain and angry seas with threatening white-capped waves whipped up by gale force winds. After a slow start in the opening term when they failed to take advantage of the breeze, it appeared that the Demons had decided
