As previously suggested.

Guilty. 2 years less voluntary suspensions. All bans from tomorrow.

I.e about 19 months

Anyone who wants to put Melksham above decency and justice has a rather warped sense of values I have to admit.

If there are no rules and adherence to them you have anarchy.

Agree with this. The only fair outcome, considering the stalling/lying/cheating/covering up that has occurred.

Little has done a great job at hosing this down, by delaying he has been able to swap out some of the players to reduce the final impact that any penalty will have on the club. They have effectively diminished the punishment significantly.  Now if they get banned for 6-12 months there is a good chance they will finish down low or possibly even bottom of the ladder giving them valuable draft picks in this years draft. So next year with new draftees and new picks and their full list returned they should be in a very good position for next year. All in all I think a lot of essendon supports will be happy with that outcome considering how bad it could have been.

Not if they are found guilty.

The cost to the club from players taking legal action will be a big, big issue, not to mention cost for them.

If found guilty, I believe there should be seismic decisions made against this club.

I would be looking at being disbanded. Just from a role model perspective alone. Not even with a secondary consideration of the AFL.

I do not believe in another consideration.

They will be unbearable if not guilty

Self imposed ban of any media, social or otherwise, at least until the tennis finishes and the pre season starts.

While I agree with this thought process, will never happen. The fl ogs are to "valuable" to the TV $$$$.

Could care less about Melksham being embroiled with the ban. I want these cheats to pay for what they did and I want Hird nailed to the wall and disgraced.

A 12 month ban for a player we paid through the roof for this past trading period would be a garbage result for the MFC.

For the record:

Verdict: guilty

Sanction: 2 years, backdated to SCN ie Oct 2014.  Further backdating for delays (Fed Court) out of player control ie back to first round of SCN's in June 2014.  Therefore, suspension period expires June 2016 earlier if CAS find other mitigating circumstances.  Players miss 10 to 12 games.

CAS remove Watson's brownlow.

CAS take no action against coaches, management or other support staff.

They simply cannot get allowances for every delay.

Do people really think that a drug case like this would have been decided overnight, even if the records had been produced?

True, we could just add him to the list of others that are currently cashing in, I can think of at least 4.

Most of the delays have been caused by the club or its employees.

Coaches management and staff should be banned for life. Partic. the Doc

I don't think the delays should or will be taken into account given that it was the EFC and players who initiated them.

It would free up a spot for a rookie to be promoted.  Mitch White looked OK in his one game last year.

What time AESDT for any announcement ?

It's a cold cold night here in Helsinki but a guilty with bans would warm me up :)

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
